In this example, When using Bitcomet I see all clients at 0.0% but one client is downloading and uploading when there are no seeders and no new clients, also there is no increase in the completion percentage, What is the reason for this? What causes a client to download and upload data without a seeder or a new client? Thanks!

1. there are other trackers that host this torrent
2. there are many clients and you only see some of them
3. your bitcomet is broken
4. that dude could be cheating
5...100. other possibilities I'm not aware of, I bet there are many ;-)

I appreciate your replies to my email question and thanks for the possible explanations. Your comments has open my mind to possibilities I wasn't aware of. Usagi suggested I should "stop" using BitComet, is there one program far superior compared to another?

I have used Azureus on my machines for a couple of years not. It's easy to work with. It allows me to move around stuff after having downloaded it and rename it, making seeding easier. It's also Mac compatible which is a great plus in my book ^-^

Only thing I don't like about it is that it has a habit of randomly shutting down occasionally, but that might just be my computer.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I absolutely hate their new Vuze edition. Mixing torrent sharing with media center features. Bad idea imo。

But hey! Can't have it all hehe.

µTorrent would be a good move, it's only an exe file that doesn't eat up a lot of resources

You guys convinced me to retire BitComet and look for an alternative program. I'm looking at utorrent which is suitable for a non-superuser like.... "me". Thanks for your thoughts and opinions.

thanks for all the advices people. I was also a bitcomet user for years now, but i think its time for a change. Bitcomet totally makes my computer lags like crazy, even when it's not dling much. i will try out utorrent as many suggested.
