I absolutely loved this drama! It was a total crack-fest but it was a crack-fest done right. I wanted so badly to be Mizuki at Osaka High because it looked like such a good time and my high school times were pretty crappy.

dunno about the most handsomest and really cant be bothered since Im a guy, but Tenou (Dorm 1 leader) is the manliest out of all the guys there. Just look at how many people he KO-ed. Trully a real Men's Man.

^^I agree with you there, I definitely liked Yusuke bc of his personality. I think he's really cute in person too, on the drama special he was tearing up because he said filming for the drama was almost ending. Awww

I loved Tennouji too, and Oscar! Both had such funny and extreme personalities. Loved their facial expressions!

hmm....I think Mizushima Hiro is alright looking. Not too bad. But it seems like he's a good leader? From the clip I saw, he was talking to a caucasion boy in English giving him encouragement. Also, Shun, Toma and Maki all said they want to be Mizushima Hiro (on All Night Nippon) ^^; So he must be a really cool guy in real life.

hmm, mizushima hiro looks old so as a dorm head where he has to take care of kids like sano and mizuki, he looks right there. Tennouji is, ya, kinda manly and all that stuff and girls can still drool over him. Oscar is just weird,

:D especially the times when he uses the ladder to do his ventriloquist/phantom of the opera stuff. they should have chosen a real bishonen for oscar. it just looks like dorm 2 is the one with all the ikemen. so unbalanced

I already watched this las week, and re-watching it again!!..... I really really liked it!! thumbs up, its so funny, actually I do jdorama's version better than TWdrama, no offense, I like TWdrama bcoz of wuzun, but I enjoyed watching hana kimi jdrama version....

Anyways that didnt stop me from watching the drama the way it stopped me from watching HYD, I barely watch any drama like this and I watched every episode, it was funny, great acting, I'd give it an 8 out of 10.
Toma was the whole drama, yeh I know the drama has been over for some months now ...but it was a great great drama I pray they continue and they shoot it California

Yes it was indeed a fun drama to watch
but it was just something I took notice with, I just couldnt get over the fact that it's an all boy school and no one noticed she had boobs.
As for the non japanese thing, it still bothers me my opinion isnt going to change, I just find it utterly strange in a japanese drama that's full of japanese actors, the time when they decided to have to add forgeiners in to be potrayed in a negative way, I never said that it doesnt happen in american media, I don't like when they do it in any entertainment even here in america.
and I couldnt have been that bothered by it if I continued to watch Hana Kimi and enjoy it alot, it's just apart of the drama I didnt like, other than that I truly enjoyed the show, and I hate romance dramas but I totally watched this one..however I kinda did not like the ending, Like how

Again it depends on how you think about what's called Love.
Nobody can really define it, even you say that you've traversed it many times.
Mizuki loves who is not decided by anyone but herself. She just follows her heart.
There're billions good guys as Nakatsu out there, she can't just go out with every guy that goes & treats her well. It's the same in real life. Even that person loves you so much, but you can't grow an affection for him, that's not your fault. People say that he doesn't deserve it, that's because they're just bystander. Imagine, is it fair for Mizuki if she has to be with someone who is saying 'deserved' ,rather than someone she truly loves? Sano is not the perfect, he's far to it, but not to forget the things that link them together in the past! Because of her, he got hurt. Yeah that's right, he's a 'chicken head' who just took it as an excuse for his own fear, but hey that was after! He saved her life!! Now you're gonna tell me that everyone could do that? then prove me.
Nakatsu is a good guy. Seeing him hurt, rejected makes everyone feels bad. But in love, one should know to accept the fact when you love someone does not mean you will alwayz get the same amount of feeling back. I think, when you truly love someone, you will not blame him/her because of that, as long as that person is happy with the person he/she loves.

I'm fed up with those fans who blindly put the blame on Mizuki. From the beginning, her heart never turns to Nakatsu. It's himself who creates & imagines things. So don't say that Mizuki played him!! wtf

You say it her yourself, that she continues to go for Sano, she didnt like him becasue he was mean to her so of course she going to continue to "go for him" after he is nice to her. She didnt aim for him in the beginning just wanted to help him and then found herself falling in love and so she followed her heart.
But as you say she only went for Sano, she never even considered Nakatsu that way, never even imagined that he would like her, she only trated him as a friend, so I'm a little confused. Exactly when did she play him?

As for Mizuki's treatment to Nakatsu, I think she was a good friend. If it was me, I would probably feel uncomfortable if someone who I didn't like liked me. I would probably keep a distance to avoid misunderstanding. But it is kind of bad if that person is your friend and didn't do anything to deserve that treatment. So what Mizuki did was being kind to a friend.

and back to the love triangle, okay maybe Mizuki didnt like Nakatsu like that, but I just couldnt get why she liked Sano so much..I'm sorry Sano was a major jerk big time he wasnt nice to her, I was reading the manga as I followed the show and he did not act like that. and I hope I do not get my head chewed off for this, but there was no chemistry between the two actors for the little time they were on screen together, I guess that's why I was so anti SanoxMizuki

Well, I wouldn't say there's totally no chemistry between the leads. He showed his affections in a solemn way. I agree though the director killed the love story between Mizuki and Sano in the drama. The manga was way better. But you gotta look at it this way. Toma is a JE, he's bound to get a big part in the drama. And it's not Shun's fault Sano is portrayed that way. He just follows the script. Like he says...he's just concentrating on perfecting his high jump. He was really cool doing the high jumps too

He beat Yuu Shirota (kagurazaka) in high jump and Yuu is taller than he is ^^;

About Mizuki and Sano, I think they off set, Shun is closer to Toma than Maki so that might explain a bit too. It might be why Nakatsu and Sano seem to be have more chemistry especially during the competition and their arguments/jealousy ^^; They're cute. I read somewhere that when Shun and Maki are together, they're kinda quiet, but things liven up when Toma shows up. Also, they have quite an age difference.

You know, I think Ashiya was already in love with Sano, from the time when she saw him in the TV jumping. Though, she didn't realize that. It was in her unconscious. When Sano got hurt, she felt guilty for that, so she put her concentration for helping him, instead thinking about love and affection.

So, if she loved Sano from the beginning, even though she didn't knew him, the bad treatments later didn't affect her feelings, especially because she felt responsible for his sportsman future.
So, if she had affections for him from the begginning, no wonder Nakatsu didn't stand a chance.

Honestly and without shame, I must confess that I was crying for half an hour indeed... I loved so much each one of the characters. I didnt want that episode to be the last.
