I think it`s still a little bit early--I don`t think they`re going to release the song until later in the season. Hopefully they`ll come out with an OST... pretty sure they`re going to especially because the first one had an OST. I just know like Devil Beside You didn`t have an OST--the songs were just included in Rainie's album "Ai Mei". Who knows. But yeah, I think it`s still early to find out the song. I may be wrong though. :-)

Can't wait to see the un-cut version.

Also, does anyone know why they aren't wearing wedding rings.

It is just my opinion because a subbing team has claimed and committed themselves to it. I don't want the IFS team to waste their time subbing this if someone is willing to sub it and faster than them. But knowing them, they will do the subtitles and make it available as hardsubs for us to download and they'll be in good quality. I think subbing will go faster if each team has their own series to translate so then we can all enjoy instead of having two sub teams on one, when one can focus on another.

My time on D-addicts is limited. I've never seen someone do this, so to me I see it as quite rude. I think that she should have asked the subteam and discussed it with them. But if she doesn't know about d-addicts then I don't see her at fault.
Another team subbing this means absolutely nothing. Watch anime? Multiple groups sub the same anime all the time and whats the big deal? People have their preferences, not to mention fast does not equal quality. Has nothing to do with being rude or whatever and is pretty common.

Let me highlight something. And yes, I do watch anime. I think that is different though since usually the anime series comes out with subtitles or dubs it when selling the dvds or released in the U.S. Asian dramas are not released in my part of the U.S and I really appreciate the time and effort they put into it because they are volunteering [not saying that anime subbers don't take the same time and effort but I usually buy my anime yet rent my dramas viet dubbed if I don't watch from here].

Its not any different actually, anime are recorded when they are shown on tv when it is new, so the situation is exactly the same. If you keep up with new anime it is plain to see. Yes, we all appreciate the time and effort people take in subbing series, however people are free to sub whatever they want and there is no unwritten rule that makes it rude in any way, shape or form. Another group subbing does NOT take away from the group that initially decided they were going to sub the series. Its understandable you feel its rude, but this is commonplace.

-_- Ah, geez. I never said, "This is completely wrong, they shouldn't do that." It was just my opinion, it was just me, who thought that it was rude. I usually don't see other fansubbers who take other fansubber's projects and do them because they were too slow at translating. That is all.

Is there really a need to rebut every comment that I make, which I may add is my own opinion and I was not trying to inflict that opinion on others.

I've been really stressed so this is why I am taking this to this point because it seems like everyone wants to put things out of proportion ever since my previous comment. I'm pretty much tired of defending my opinion on things. It is just an opinion and thats just how I view on subbing because that is what I've believed are the rules on d-addicts. I don't know any other website that is as largely used for fansubbing as this for dramas.

Woah! okay...

I'm not sure what to say right now.

When I found that I just felt very happy that I was already able to see this and to understand it. I didn't want to offend anyone. I just posted it to share the joy of finding this.

On the subbing discussion:

I still wait for the IFS subtitles to download them. WHY? Even though I watched it already. I think it is a quality question. The IFS sub are from such high quality that they are worth the wait. But especially because they are so good you don't use them for a quick fix.

I think it is a little like if you are obsessed with a song out of the shows soundtrack- and you play the same part of an episode again because it is the only way of listening to the song that you have. Your quick fix.

Then you get the possibility to buy the OST or download the song and of course that is different. And while you would get your quick fix anytime again, with the next song. you know and appriciate the quality difference between quickfix and the realthing

Thats my two cents to the subbing discussion

As I said. If I offended anyone I apologize. I didn't mean to hurt anyone.

BTW.

To the episode. Sometimes 'I have the feeling that supersmart Zhi Shu is rather oblivious. Seriously. He should know by now that Xiang Qing is not sure of herself. So I really wanted to smack him in the face for being so harsh
when MaiLin faked the tummy pain. Yes she overreacted, but telling her that they may not be suited to be together was just assy. I understood that Xiang Qing was more that hurt at that moment.
All I want now is the whole "Scene" :whistling: I was looking foward to see it for so long. Now I think I deserve to see it

Nokchan, its not your fault. Some of us view the rules differently and it just got a little out of hand in how they're interpreted. Everyone is really thankful that there are subs this early.

Don`t worry about the other comments--you`re not the one who offended people so you don`t really have to feel bad about it :)

This subbing thing is completely subjective--it all depends on preference. You like to wait for IFS because you like quality over quantity (time-wise). Which is completely fine. There are others who like to watch it ASAP which is also completely fine. But no one should bash others who sub the same drama because, once again, like I said, it`s all very subjective. People have different preferences and I think we should accept those preferences instead of being close-minded and assert false information. All in all, ultimately, the bottom line is, that anyone can sub a drama even if more than one team or person is doing it. Not everyone likes the same style of fansubbing so that`s why there are a lot of different teams subbing. It`s not "rude" or "stealing" if someone subs the same drama as another team--and I think that`s where MaiMunky got it wrong. She accused the other fansubbers of being "rude" when they clearly did no wrong and that`s where other people (including me) disagreed with her.

Speaking from personal experience, when HYD2 was coming out, I would quickly download the raw and watch softsubs with it (that came out a few days later) which weren`t as good as SARS hardsubs. But when SARS came out with the good stuff, I re-downloaded the episode and deleted the old one. So it`s all about preference.

:lol

In the first episode, that Mali girl refers to a friend of hers called Bai He - isn't that Ella from the rose? Anyway, I'm loving the first episode already  can't wait to see the rest.

I'd recommend the one with Ling'er. I am not sure about the Ariel Lin version since I haven't heard of it (unless you are referring to the 2008 Legend of the Condor Heroes). The Ling'er version is quite good and faithful to the original work. As for the plot, the Ariel Lin version would come chronologically before the Ling'er version :)

Hello everyone! This is my first time participating in this discussion although I have been lurking here since the news of ISWAK2 broke. Nice to meet you! Anyway, onto the discussion of the show...

I know it seems a little early to judge, but somehow, the soundtrack of the first season seems a lot nicer and more fitting than the current one. Anyone agree?

It`s just that in the first one, there`s this one song that stuck out ("惡作劇") and it was like the "official song" of the drama. And it was an awesome song! Especially because its music video was the CUTEST THING EVER!! :lol

So far, from episode one, there hasn`t been like a "song" to specifically stick out. But I might be wrong.

Haha. Now I understand why some people were saying it's like the beginning of a porno. I think it's a combination of bad lighting and the sneaky camera angles.

They have very good chemistry though. I wonder how many NGs they had for that scene. Poor Joe was probably so tired afterwards. And I hate to think about the accumulation of saliva on Ariel's neck....

I've a english subb of the making of this scene, and they've said that this is the 1st time that the director will shoot this kind of scene so maybe thats why. but for me its quite ok. The scene was taken early in the morning XD maybe thats why they look so sleepy??? lol

Personally, I loved the director's use of handheld camera recording them, gave it a voyeuristic feeling of watching two people in a very intimate moment. I thought it was TOTALLY HOT. If they cut it from the drama, that would be a shame. Maybe it will be reinserted onto DVD! It'll sell more DVDs I'm sure! LOL...

In Taiwan, I believe it comes out on Sunday night at 10pm (because that`s when Romantic Princess was aired) but I may be wrong.

So Sunday night at 10pm roughly translates to Sunday morning sometime (early early morning and my time zone is PST and I`m too lazy to figure out GMT and all that :lol). And this is just a rough estimate--it still takes time for people to upload it onto the internet so it`ll probably be ready on Youtube by Sunday night/Monday morning-ish. These are just rough estimates.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I think the actor for Ma Li was Bai He's friend at the very beginning of the series or something.

wow...is the show really going to be 28 episodes long...that's freaking long for a lovey dovey drama. Not that I think that's bad...I want it to last forever, but teen dramas usually last between 16 to 20 episodes long, about an hour in showtime each.

if you check the wiki, the girl is in The Rose too, with the same name.

This series seems to be so hyped up even before its been released. I'm not a great fan of Joe Cheng as i think he's weird looking and honestly the first series wasn't even all that good!. I couldn't get into it so i dropped the series after ep 2!

saying a series isn't good after only watching 2 episodes is ignorant. You're talking about something you know nothing about...and then want to bash it.

Theres a reason why its so hyped up, and in MY opinion, it was one of the best taiwanese series made...and one of the reasons was ariel lin. I have no problem about your opinion, but trying to critique a drama you haven't seen? Maybe a show does suck because "i haven't watched it and can't get into it".

I have the same problem as you, Karin. I'm watching the first series now (Ep. 21), and although I am enjoying it, it really bugs me that the female lead is so stupid. The character has no common sense or discretion whatsoever and I'm embarrassed by her and for her, which makes me not like the series as much. However, I have not finished watching the series yet so maybe all will be redeemed in the end.

Still, it is nice to have smart strong female characters that you can root for unreservedly throughout. This girl, if in real life, I probably would not be able to stand her. So much cluelessness gets on my nerves.

I felt the exact same way when I watched it two years ago! Love Contract made me dislike Ariel Lin a lot and this really didn`t help. I was so frustrated at her stupidity--is it humanly possible to be that stupid? But it just makes the fact that Joe Cheng is awesome even more prominent! Heehee.
susan-y2k5 wrote:This series seems to be so hyped up even before its been released. I'm not a great fan of Joe Cheng as i think he's weird looking and honestly the first series wasn't even all that good!. I couldn't get into it so i dropped the series after ep 2!
I agree with vancoland. Don`t judge something you`ve never seen before. That`s like me saying "you`re ugly" when I have clearly never met you before (well, maybe that`s not exactly the same but you get my point). The drama gets better after a few episodes. I agree, the first two episodes weren`t that good (I stopped watching it for a while also) but I went on and watched the rest of it. And I`m really glad I did because I turned into a fanatic--every Sunday was a great day for me because a new episode of ISWAK was out and it was my weekly dose of happiness (wow this just made me sound like I have no life... :lol)

well this is true...it does make Joe Cheng's character more palatable, because if she were a totally cool girl and he was treating her as badly as he does, we'd be thinking badly of HIM!! LOL... Right now, when he's mean to her, I can totally understand his annoyance. The miracle will be when they unveil what exactly it is about her that would make him fall in love. I'm still waiting to see. ;)

And BTW, I have to admit that I thought he was a little strange-looking when I first saw him too, but like most exotic-looking people, the more I see him, the more beautiful he gets.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I think the actor for Ma Li was Bai He's friend at the very beginning of the series or something.
Hmm, that just might be.
I like how they connect all these dramas together. Though in a way it's odd, because Joe Cheng plays that exentric brother. I seem to remember that there was another reference to "the Rose" in the first season of It started with a kiss. Some hospital lady was talking about how she didn't want to miss a certain show, which she always watched - and that was the Rose. Don't know if you remember.

I don't think Xiang Qing is dumb. If she really was, no matter how hard Zhi Shu tries to tutor her, she wouldn't understand it. I think she's a little clueless that she acts a little weird (remember the costume party where she dressed-up as a japanese ghost?) or that she has stalker tendencies. lol! She has this sweet innocence that she never thinks ill of other people. In fact she's so positive that her personality is all sunshine and daisies and maybe that is where all her energy comes from.

Hey guys! I was wondering... you guys all keep mentioning about the BT but does anybody know which clubbox or another site is carrying it? And if it's already been mentioned and I'm just being stupid and didn't see it, then ignore my post. Anyways, thanks to anybody who can help me!

Its stuff like how is it possible that you can cook and not taste what you've cooked at all before putting it on the table? Or fight to take work away from a coworker, telling the manager you type very fast but you really can't type at all. And on top of that get upset when he points out your mistakes? That just goes beyond dumb to willfully stupid. Or you can't send a fax when there are INSTRUCTIONS on the machine!! I just wanted to reach through the TV screen and smack her. I just find her a waste of space. I don't find stupidity "sweet" or "innocent" at all. Yu Shu is innocent and he's not stupid. Xhi zsu's Mom is sweet and she's not stupid.

And about the bit about not thinking ill of other people, I thought she treated all the sweet boys who liked her abominably badly considering her own situation. Talk about being completely self-absorbed.

I also don't see how you could say her personality was all sunshine and daisies when she spent the whole drama pouting and scowling because Xhi zsu didn't pay attention to her.

Sorry to disagree with you but as a heroine she was HORRIFYING to the name of good women everywhere. LOL!

That said, I'm still hooked on this drama... I keep hoping she'll mature into someone I can respect. Until then...its all about Joe Cheng! Heh-heh...

Has anyone else gotten this error and been able to resolve it? I'm using uttorrent if it makes any difference.)

I made that mistake with Romantic Princess. I saw the second half on YouTube just browsing. It got me hooked. It didn't have subs and I had a very hard time understnading what happened. I'm rewatching it right now on CR with subs. The beginning is interesting.
