There are a few c-subbed versions floating around. But no e-subbed AFAIK

http://subscene.com/67740/subtitlefilm.aspx

SRT FILES (subtitle)

http://www.newtorrents.info/torrent/172 ... PosTX.html

HIGH QUALITY torrent

now to watch it together

Use VLC video player, and name the SRT file and the Movie file the same name, and put both the files in the same folder so example DEATHNOTE2.SRT and DEATHNOTE2.AVI in the same folder, and start the movie, and BAM it’s subtitled =)

someone need to upload the movie onto veoh.com with the srt files merged =)

In my honest opinion I don't think the movie adaptation did justice to DN. I would stick with the manga or anime thats currently going on and is much much better.

i've never read the manga or watched the anime...but i really like this movie too....especially L. He is sooo smart for such a young age....i definitely like the second part better because there were more scenes with L in it ;)

people usually like the first better than the second...in terms of medium adaptations. books better than movies, tv series better than movies, demo, i enjoyed the movie. sure the anime may give more information, but it's it's own medium. i definitely plan on watching the anime, but if it wasn't for the movie, i wouldn't.

that's a long way of saying that i liked the movie alot.

Hi. I just watched the 2nd movie and I have only been watching the anime and it's up to ep 23 atm(subbed that is) and this far we haven't seen Light get his memories back but in the movie he has. Is the movie following the manga fully?

The movie kept some elements of the manga but a lot has been changed. Light does get back his memories in the manga.

After watching both part 1 and 2 of the movie, I have to say it's acceptable but not satisfying enough. What disappoints me is that the movie failed to capture the brilliance of both Light and L (especially Light).

Alright. Damn, I guess I got spoiled then by watching this movie, altho I stopped watching in the middle of the cd2. I have only seen 23 episodes of the anime afterall.

Yeah, I noticed it too but I guess it's kinda hard to let out the experssions Light does in the anime and do it IRL.

Please don't post a link here. It will only be deleted. This was a theatrically released movie, so it falls under the No Movies Policy at D-addicts. We have lots of resources for people looking for asian movies in the Links of Interest and Asian Movie Torrent threads...
Also, movie discussions should be posted in the general JEnt forums, not the Jdrama Discussion forum...

Thanks...

I watched it yesterday
at first everything went like in the manga, but at the end, it was just :goggle:
they cut the manga short!!!!
which is may be good, cause otherwise, people won\t be able to understand the plot
but overall, the last name was wrapped nicely

[Movie Discussion] The two Death Note Live-action movies...

Post by Keizou » Jul 3rd, '07, 19:34

Image

I recently finished watching the two live-action death note movies and I posted a review (of the first movie) on my blog.

Generally, both movies were some of the worst i've the seen. The worst part was the acting but overall I liked the actors/actresses they picked for the roles since they represent their anime counterparts very well. I also liked the ending of the second movie. I wish the anime ended like that...:-(

I reccommend watching the Death Note Anime instead of these two movies.

Just wondering what other people thought

LOL, the L food pyramid looks a bit like mine. :lol

I agree with other posters here who didn't enjoy the movies. Good production value, and the casting was great. But I couldn't bring myself to finish even the first movie. However, I am really glad the movies did so well revenue-wise, because the original story creator deserves all the success and respect in the world. And of course, the anime was terrific as well. :)
