Cambodian Dubbed drama you say. Is it a modern or ancient series? I’m sure many Combodian would be surprised to see it up here on D-addicts. I think I try to upload a khmer dubbed series once here on D-addicts before but there wasn’t much interest then. Hopefully it’s a new series. Looking forward to it. :w00t:[/quote]

Hello, everyone....... I was just wondering what company has done the dubbing for Return of the Condor Heroes 2006? is it EMP, CLE, SD etc.. and how is the dubbing. does it sound ok? or does the background cut in and out like some series.

Actually the dubbing for The Return of the Condor Heroes 2006 is good. The main girl voice suits her well.. sounds gentle and kind. So is the others. The quality is also very good (the one i saw) so you should be enjoying it when you watch it :]

Um..I dont really know about dubbing company lol since im in australia. Always curious about khmer dubbing company though! I mean, how can they make the main lead voice sound the same for other series and stuff as well or something. is there any specific websites on khmer dubbing company.. I want to know more about it lol.

I believe they no longer have those series [well, that what i was told for a friend who uncle when to cambodia] I do have it but it not worth watching........the quailty is very bad [they mainly recorded of from the TV] and the voice does not suit any of the characters... :-( ...I was very disappointed in it.... .........but for some strange reason my mom love it.......I can't stand how my mom actually love it..... :x :cussing: ........... it best if you watch it in Mandarin the series should be available at
Jem's Clubbox.............note: hardsubbed in english......[both Meteor Garden 1 & 2]......

here the link: http://clubbox.co.kr/encodes

As for Mars, you can get it here in d-addicts here the links: http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/torrents ... +all&sort=

Hope that all work out for you

rather off-topic... but have any of you guys seen this video? my brother showed me this the other day.

i can't speak much khmer at all, but this guy sounds pretty for someone speaking a language that's not his native. i have no idea what he's singing, though... i can pick up words here and there, though. i am more proficient in Chinese but i wouldn't mind trying to learn khmer someday.

You wouldn't have Burning Flame or A Step Into The Past in Khmer, would you? Love to have those classics in my collection.

Anyway to answer your question, you have to rip the DVD's into your hard drive. I prefer using DVD Decrypter because it's fast, simple, and free. Then you would have to convert the ripped VOB files into a smaller, more download-friendly file format like an avi file. Most people use Gordon Knot or the more noob friendly Auto Gordon Knot.

It's too many specific steps to really go into it all but this website should be more then enough to help you in everything regarding AV. http://www.videohelp.com

Hope I was some help.

If you don't want to dvd the entire disc on to your computer you can use XILISOFT DVD RIPPER....it will your entire disc [well, title by title] in to avi files for you so this way it save you some time on converting the VOB files............it a great program and it rip pretty quick.......well for me anyways.........hope that works out for you................

BTW: where to Upload your files try FileFront.com..........you can just upload the entire video without cut the video down but make sure the video file is less than 1gb........or else it will not upload...

Hey guys,

Anybody thinking of becoming a khmer voice actor/actress for japanese dorama/animes series? It would be another interesting idea for cambodian peoples to see, experience japanese culture.
Right now for some crazy reason, me & my bro thinkin' about create this project. And we got all the resource and equipment on how to do this thing. But one thing that bugs me, will khmer people watch it? :lol

I would watch it, only if the voice are nice. I hate it when they talk and 5 sec later, the mouth continu to move. LOL. And also... not the same person doing the same voice of like 10 characters. i know taht i exagerate, but mostly drama dubb are like that ;DD

Btw, I'm cambodian and im from montreal ;) !

Damn, where can I meet this girl?! Sexy voice. Kinda offset's the guys horrible acting skill. He needs to sell it more. [Just telling it as it is]

Oh, I do have a cousin who is in the Khmer dubbing industry [he does the voice for one of the main characters in Chinese dramas] and I'll try to ask him about branching off into JDrama. However, I doubt that they will try it again. The few movies that his company dubbed, didn't do well. I'll ask him about dubbing more contemporary movies.

Don't know any JDrama off the top of my head so can you guys give me a few movies he should look into as references. You know, good movies that most Khmer people haven't seen or heard of. Anything most 12-32 yr old women would like [the majority of the audience].

kali4niaguy wrote:if any of u have a chance to go to Cambo, do it!!! it's fun, just don't stay too long, u'd miss fast food and fast cars. if u've been there, then u know that cars move very slow in the city, mopeds everywhere! i was all over the place. 1 of the few places I didn't get to in Cambo was KohKong. but I had a chance to go to Siem Reap and see Angkor Wat and most of the smaller Wats there. it's cool. but in Angkor Wat and some other places, they'd charge u $20/US if u don't speak Cambo. so if u don't look Cambo but speak Cambo, it's cool, but if u look Cambo but don't speak, just stay quiet and let ur relatives speak until u pass those guys or u'll have to pay $20! :D I also had a chance to ride a boat from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, that was cool. it cost $17 when I was there in 2002, it might've gone up. it took around 5 hours, but they give u a meal, it was a decent meal. lots of foreigners take the boat, the locals can't really afford that kind of luxury.

if you guys have the opportunity to travel, do it! life's all about adventures here and there. just don't drink the water unless it's bottled. u can just drink those fresh coconuts. don't eat fresh veggies and stay away from the ice. most fruits r ok to eat, and the fruits r yummmmmmmmy!!! I love the mangosteens, lychees, rambutans, and some others. I wish we had those fruits here. if u want to spend most of ur vacation time in the toilet, then eat the veggies and get the ice. :lol in some restaurants, it's ok to drink their water since they tend to cater towards tourists, but I still drank bottled water. better safe than be on the toilet all day. in Phnom Penh there's a mall called Soriya, it's interesting to check out a Cambo mall.
All you have to do to pass those guys asking for 20 bucks near all the Wats is to say "bpat" everytime they say something to you...lol worked for me
by the way this is a little tip for ppl who dont know how to speak khmer, and yes i do
