Post by kinki » Jul 18th, '05, 16:09

I just came acros this Interesting program from FujiTV. its called Ainori あいのり (aka "The Love Wagon" or "The Love Bus") and Airs every Monday 23:00 - 23:30 pm (Japan Time) after SMAPXSMAP

Synopsis::

Seven men and women who are searching for "that someone special" set off on a trip around the world aboard the "love bus." Those that fall in love along the way return to Japan and are replaced by new members. When a member feels sure that they have met their "true love," they give that person a plane ticket, and ask them to return to Japan with them. A kiss means "yes," but returning the ticket means that the one who presented it must go back to Japan alone.

I also just found about this program after seeing a post on jdorama. And I checked jpopsuki, and there are only 3 torrents (2 files each) from February. But alas, there are no seeds.

I don't want to post the link here since it's not my blog, but I'll post a link to the jdorama thread instead: http://www.jdorama.com/viewtopic.php?p=218114#218114 (It's from Sylvain)

My Japanese friends who lived in United Arab Emirates (UAE) before told me about this program, they are in Japan now, and sent me an email that Ainori is traveling in UAE. they were excited to see footage of the place they lived and work in before!

although d-addicts in a drama website, i still see some variety shows here, like London Heart(?)
anyway, this is not like any variety shows, its like a live drama since we share the feelings of the young people in the show and we get to watch romance blossoming, or not. i really hope someone would record the show and upload eps here! even if without subs.... :-(

Funny, I just downloaded this yesterday and then I find this thread today :)

Its OK if you're into reality shows... Kind of funny because theres so many love triangles going around.

Anyways I dled it at the sayaman.net torrent site, if you guys are still looking for it.

No english subs btw, but they subtitle the japanese!

yeah I'm wonder if theres any scripting involve but if there isn't it really is like a real drama on tv, you make friends and love triangles, some ppl get pissed and angry, some do a lot of crying. Real stuff :)

i have fujitv (international channel, fujisankei.com) and i would cap this if i knew how to cap stuff right.. i dont know which format to cap it in and which format to encode it. i also dont have 50GB or more to capture some big raw lol.

Hi everybody, I'm Sylvain.

Wow, I was a bit surprised to see my name mentioned on this forum. Thanx dochira.
I write every week about Ainori in my blog, and I'm doing it in English because a girl named Pauline in the US emailed me about it. I was so surprised to hear that Ainori was aired in the States, that I decided to write about it in English too, since for some weird reason it's not translated nor subtitled. If any of you are interested in following Ainori, check it out! :lol

WARNING: Ainori in the States is a few weeks behind the Japanese broadcast, so these are SPOILERS. :w00t:

Ainori

Post by mihaela » Aug 3rd, '05, 19:28

Hi!
this forum is very interesting!
I was looking for some information about Ainori and so i came upon this site.
I am living in Romania and we don’t have Fuji TV here. Actually i didn’t know anything about this show until june this year when one of its producers came to Romania for setting the places they would shoot. And they did, in July. I was with them for 2 weeks or so. It was really great!
Now i would like to get to watch the real show, since i can only check out everyweek the Fuji TV site, where they show some scenes (only jpg) and some comments. Altough i can get the idea of what’s happening in the show every week, i would still like to have the video (cause i like to hear them speaking japanese).
Do you know any site where I could download a show or two?

for Tonydesu

I tried to open that site you told us about (sayaman.net torrent site ) but it won't open. instead I found the site sayaman.net but couldn't find anything related to Ainori.
Would you please tell me the exact URL of the site you've d-loaded episodes of Ainori?
Is it for free?

Thanks a lot Ruroshin en kinki too for requesting it...
This is the only show I watched weekly during my time in Japan from March 2004 until January 2005. Now I can finally watch it again!
And I'm so glad that Hide is still around!! My favourite character :-)

O, btw, does anybody know the name of the opening song and the artist's name?
I remember the previous one was from Spitz, and I really liked it. Suppose there's no way for me to download one of those older epi's?

OK, I just reworked everything with Dreamweaver. Hope you guys using Mozilla (or any other browser for that matter) can see it properly. PLEASE tell me if you're still having some problems. MS Word really screws up the code, man. Thanx, BILL! I'm still having trouble with DW, coz I switched directly from MS Word to WordPress for my blog back in June, so some of the formatting is still out of whack. It's a slow learning curve, but。。。 頑張ります!

Ainori #281is already available, it's unbelievable. C'mon, tell the truth, you're not recording the show, you're just stealing tapes from Fuji TV studios, aren't you? Aren't you? Ok, enough kiddin' around. Here's this week's summary, and I'm working on the dialogue's translation.

(EDIT)Ainori #281's scripts have been translated! Click the link titled "Special treat for non-Japanese speakers at the bottom of my summary @ http://www.sylvainbouchard.com/wpblog/?p=95

I saw on this website that there are Ainori eps that go back to March... but I can't read Korean to register to become a member of the site, so I couldn't download them. Does anyone know how to read Korean and can download all of those episodes and then make torrents for them here? I really want to see past ainori episodes (really really bad!) and have been looking everywhere for them.

Or does that site just have Korean subs, and those aren't the episodes, or what?

I guess Hide will be with Omami in the end.
If not, he´s not gonna be with none of them.

It´s very clear now that Omami does´nt like Suzan as Hide thinks. It´s very clear she likes Hide, and if he didn´t realize it yet, he´s a completely dumb.

Takano is too boring, too scary, too jealous, too childish. I don´t like her.

Next episode seems that is gonna have a kokuhaku!!!
Hope it´ll be from Hide to Omami! Hohohohoho!!!

I kinda prefer Omami too, Takano is too jealous in a scary way.

I also managed to get my sisters hooked on this show too and they rarely ever watch japanese shows.

I hope omami wins too. I think Hide has known that omami has liked him for a while but he's too scared to admit anything. The susan thing is just his way of gauging the circumstances? What does everyone else think? If he didn't know already then he probly does now judging from this weeks previews.

I'm also searching for past ainori eps. When did saiyaman start releasing from? I only recently found that website so I don't have too many back eps. I've been trying to search for ainori on share but get little results.

Wow, am I the only one who likes Takano? I think Omami is super-fake. I hate her stupid fake voice and thought it was hysterical in the last episode when Takano made fun of it. ブリッコ much, Omami?

I think Takano is really cool, and she doesn't try to be all cutesy like Omami does. I think she's hilarious, too - the self proclaimed "urban princess" and who can forget the 「ウンコのご褒美」? I think she's gutsy, deliciously evil and super cute.

However, I do think Hide will end up with Omami in the end. He doesn't seem to like Takano as much as he prefers Omami.

No you're not the only one, I prefer Takano too. Yeah sure she's jealous but so is Omami. I like how she doesn't hide her feeling, says what she feels. And I don't think childish is bad.

I can't wait the next episode, but I'm almost sure Hide will choose Omami. I think he liked her before too and THAT's the reason he thought Omami was into Suzan. Cause it was so obvious she's nuts about him, anyone could see it. But maybe Hide isn't as self-confident as he seems.... anyway it's Omami or no-one.

Btw who's your favorite person in the show? I think TK's really nice ^^ . Well Suzan is nice too. Really too bad he didn't end up with Mikarin, I liked her. I just don't like Arashi. Don't really know what bothers me about him, but... nah I don't like him.

I like Takano a lot more after the last episode! Too bad though, I don't know if Hide will choose her. If I was Hide I'd say sayonara to both of them and head on to the next country. Whatever happens afterwards though, the vans gonna be a sausage fest for a while.

Suzan's awesome. He does karate and has crazy art skills~! tk seems cool, arashi's just a bum. And Hide, I dont get why they like him so much

I liked Takano from the beginning, because she was going for it, you know. But in that last episode she went kind of crazy. Now I'm not sure. I kind of had enough with those two girls. Here in Japan a lot of people are asking for new members on message boards...

You got a point there. But after last episode, it wouldn't suprise me if he turns down both of them. They were like vultures!

Code: Select all

Btw who's your favorite person in the show? I think TK's really nice ^^ . Well Suzan is nice too. Really too bad he didn't end up with Mikarin, I liked her. I just don't like Arashi. Don't really know what bothers me about him, but... nah I don't like him.
Suuzan has his merits, but he's "kimoi". They should really get more handsome guys when it comes to a show with a romantic premisse. Arashi is half asleep, dude! Where do they get these guys? Hide is my favorite. If only he could wake up and smell the coffee. I mean, the fact he never realized those two girls were after him is beyond me...

I don't think hide has any interest in takano. Especially after that remark she made about him being in so many countries when they were in UAE(?), which pissed him off. I hate her annoying laugh too......... フフフ....so annoying!

It's hard to tell if he likes omami but I think he might.

My favorite char would have to be either susan or yankee flavor.

Sylvain, thanks for the treat.

About this week's triangle story, I think Hide doesn't like any of the two girls... or let's say, he doesn't like anyone of them enough to declare his love, or at least to accept a kokuhaku.
and yes, he's been travelling a long time, he likes to travel around the world. But I kind of like him, his looks ( I once said he looks like a samurai) and all this being macho-man behaviour.
I also like Susan, he's very kind-hearted and talented. What does "kimoi" mean? I looked it up in the dictionary but couldn't find it.
Arashi is just a cute boy, didn't make a big impression on me yet, but he's kind of sweet and innocent.

tonydesu wrote:Suzan's awesome. He does karate and has crazy art skills~! tk seems cool, arashi's just a bum. And Hide, I dont get why they like him so much
Lol I agree. That was what I asked myself too: what do they see in that guy? :D
Sylvain wrote:I liked Takano from the beginning, because she was going for it, you know. But in that last episode she went kind of crazy. Now I'm not sure. I kind of had enough with those two girls. Here in Japan a lot of people are asking for new members on message boards...]
Yeah she was maybe a bit exaggerating. You know when she climbed up to the top and she just grabbed Hide's arm so he would go with her... I was like 'wow!' I mean I could never do something like that. I almost admired her, being so courageous. I would feel so embarrassed after that...
Yeah I guess it's time for new members. Well both of the girls will leave now anyway. Hope Hide chooses one of them!!

Oh one other thing. Don't you think the show would be even better without those crazy three guys making comments... I donno, I just find them so annoying. I mean where did they find them?? I can't stand the woman's voice... and that third guy Imada... nah I better not say anything.

"Kimoi" is short for 「気持ち悪い」 i.e. "kimochi warui". It means something like: "repulsive". I guess I'm influenced by my students (all Japanese teenagers). When he came on the show I really had a bad first impression.

My Takano was cool right up until the end.

(SPOILERS BELOW)

I think she accepted it gracefully and bravely and I thought that was really cool of her. Omami was such a wimp - I think she thought if she kept crying and begging him she would have her way. I almost thought Hide was going to cave before he took that big breath but then he said おまみのこと好きじゃないんだ。一緒に日本に帰れない。 and then I cheered because I would have been pissed if he would have been persuaded by her crying. I was really sad to see Takano go :( She was just so cool - she had guts. Not sad to see Omami go. Super excited to see the next crop of girls!!! And really curious about what Hide's "fateful moment" that was alluded to in the previews.

I can completely understand her, I used to be like that too... btw did Hide change his hairstyle? :blink Somehow he seems cuter now :D

Hey, I don't mind, really. I know I make a lot of people happy with my work, and that's enough for me.
In any case, I really appreciate the recognition. Thanx a lot!

Don't know if this is the best place to ask but I have a couple questions about ainori.

I think I've seen a half dozen places translate the word "ainori" and no two were the same.
Is ainori a made up Japanese word and so has no literal translation?

How do the time lines work for this show? It seems most weeks that less than a week
has past for the participants since the last episode. If filming of the show never stops
(or do they take occasional breaks?) wouldn't they continually rack up more and more
yet to be shown episodes and eventually an episode being shown will be of events
that happened a year ago.

Does anyone know how new participants are called up? Do they have to be on call so
when someone goes to get a ticket from the bus driver, they quickly make a call and jet in someone new
overnight? Or do they edit things so it only looks like new people are added the same
day someone leaves?

Mark

http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/11.08/play.html?pg=7

so i call it "journey of love"
