Re: So.. What was the first drama you watched??
Mine was Bitter Blood/Partners By Blood -- I'd seen the Rurouni Kenshin movies and wanted to find other things the cast had done, and this was on Hulu. I think that was pretty closely followed by Umi no Ue no Shinryoujo, which remains a favorite.
Re: So.. What was the first drama you watched??
The 1st drama I ever watched... was Hero the movie (I found the drama after I found the movie lol)
I found Hero after I found SMAP... and I found SMAP by finding the SXS episode where Michael Jackson surrised SMAP with a visit.
My love for JDrama (and Kdrama) has grown from there.

My first dorama was "Nobuta wo Produce", around the end 2005.
I started watching Musicals/Stage Play, and then dorama. And since then, I totally into them .

Started off as an anime person, moved to drama recently. The first drama was Japanese, titled Okitegami Kyouko no Biboroku. It was really good.
Re: So.. What was the first drama you watched??
Yeah, I also watched it few months ago and I really liked, one of my Top10 drama. Plus, Yui Aragaki is one of my favorite J-actressesyasushiu wrote:Started off as an anime person, moved to drama recently. The first drama was Japanese, titled Okitegami Kyouko no Biboroku. It was really good.
As for me, my first drama was 1 Litre of Tears. I was a great Erika Sawajiri fan at that time (around 2008). I remember I cried a lot those days, since the story was so touching
Moreover, many of those actors played in many of my other favorite dramas (Fujiki Naohito in Hotaru no Hikari, Nishikido Ryo in Zenkai Girl, Yakushimaru Hiroko in Q10...), so even though I don't think I'll ever watch it again (too sad ), it will always be a great memory...

My first drama is the Tw-drama Lavender. It's been so long now and I'm sad that it's difficult to look for places where I can re-watch it. (Though I'm not sure if I'll like it as much as I liked it before when I was younger.)
Re: So.. What was the first drama you watched??
Mine was A Million Stars Falling from the Sky. I didn't know what a big star Kimutaku was but I really liked the dark nature of the story.

My first drama was Tunnel (K-drama) and the second was Great Teacher Onizuka (All Seasons J-Drama) and the third one I completed just today was Signal (K-drama)....All of these dramas are really nice and they taught me some great lessons in my life. I want all of you people to recommend me some other dramas that changed your life so that I can watch and learn more from them.
Re: So.. What was the first drama you watched??
Mine was The Legendary Siblings 2 when it was broadcast here on local TV, it was dubbed with our local tongue as well. My sister and I really loved that but as of the moment I'm hooked with japanese drama/movie. I do not watch something from other countries but I kind of wanted to watch it again, to see if I still would like it.

Re: So.. What was the first drama you watched??
The first Korean drama I ever watched was My Lovely Girl. During the free time I had in school, I'd go onto YouTube where there were some subbed episodes of the drama, I didn't really know much about Asian dramas then, but I thought it was really cute and I had nothing to do so I watched a few episodes of it. It never got me into watching other Asian dramas then, I didn't watch any others till a few years later.

Meteor Garden remake? Nah, not really gonna recommend it, I still prefer the original ones rather than the remake...

Love and Fortune, on Netflix.
Can't say it's the best drama I've ever watched but it got me into the genre.

My first drama was Jiu (2011) with Meisa Kuroki and Mikako Tabe, but the one that got me hooked was Sutekina Sen Taxi. It's still one of my favorite dramas.

Re: So.. What was the first drama you watched??
Dae Jang Geum ( Jewel inside place ) was the first drama i watched but i was young and wasn't interested in that ... but after that my dad said lets watch Hong gil dong ... and that was the point for me to fall in love with korean dramas
Re: So.. What was the first drama you watched??
My first J-drama was The Wallflower
My first K-drama was Coffee Prince.
I saw both of these at the same time because I discovered coffee prince in an ad for drama fever while watching the wallflower on dramacool. Both are really good dramas. It was after watching those two that got hooked on watching Asian dramas.

I think my first one was Water Boys (2003)
After that, I watched a whole stream of sports-related dramas, a genre that seems to be less popular now

Re: So.. What was the first drama you watched??
My first JDrama was Yankee-kun to Hakujou Garu. The manga translations seemed to have dried up, and I chanced upon the live action so I watched it, then I followed up on Nao Honda, and watched Enjiya (which I forgot the title of) then I went back to more comedy type dramas and dramas based on anime/manga that I liked with Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, Yamada & the 7 witches, Tantei Gakuen Q, Gokushufudo, Komi-San.
I've already seen quite a few live action film versions of anime & manga, but I can't remember what was first.

Re: So.. What was the first drama you watched??
I believe it was either Swing Girls, Water Boys, Hana Yori Dango, or Nobuta wo Produce.
It been so long that it's all kind of a blur, but I do remember getting hooked after getting to meet Hiroshi Tamaki, Jun Matsumoto, Tomohisa Yamashita, and Shota Matsuda for the first time. And of course the legendary Juri Ueno who can tackle literally any kind of role. OMG and Takenaka Naoto! Sucha weird looking guy but perfect in anything he does (even wearing a whack-ass prosthetic gaijin nose lol).

Ma Young Hee has been in love with her best friend Han Jin Woo since the first time they met in high school. Han Jin Woo, on the other hand, does not see Young Hee's love for him and blindly goes out with other girls in front of her. On a trip to Japan, Young Hee meets a young man on the street who takes her back to his apartment since she is drunk. Young Hee accuses this man of raping her even though he didn't, but before she can rightfully press charges, he runs away as the government officials of Japan chase him down for an expired visa. Upon returning to Korea, Jin Woo stops by her apartment and introduces his younger brother, Han Sun Woo who just happens to be the young man she met in Japan. Jin Woo asks if Sun Woo may stay at her place, and Young Hee accepts out of love for Jin Woo. The story unfolds as a sudden high school classmate of Young Hee, Jang Hee Won, begins to court Jin Woo. Galileo for Japanese dramas and probably Squid Game for Korean dramas. Thought it was massively overrated though and didn't get into more dramas until I watched Sky Castle.
