For New Members - Introduce Yourselves!
Re: For New Members - Introduce Yourselves!
Hello everyone !
Just started watching J-dramas and they are amazing! Also, I'm starting to learn Japanese.
Hopefully in the future I'll be able to help out with the subs.
By the way, Big thanks to all the members who take the time to translate & sub the dramas. You guys are truly amazing!
I used to sub a few TV shows (English to French) when I was in high school (almost 20 years ago) and I know it's not an easy task. So, thanks again & see you on the forum !

Forgot to do a quick hello!
Been watching J-Drama since last year and been to Japan for like 3 times! My love of Japan actually began in 2018 when I play a fantastic video game called "Yakuza" also known there as "Ryu ga Gotoku" (龍が如く). Overtime I've been watching drama and try to without my knowledge on speaking/learning Japanese I begin to like how the dramas played out. For now I would like to say thanks to the fansubs for trying their best on subbing/translating any drama they choose. Thanks once again, keep up the good work and I'll end on one of the lines that my favorite characters always say: "Kakatte koi!"

Re: For New Members - Introduce Yourselves!
Hi everyone! Been a jdorama lover since 2006 when Gokusen was streamed on my country, been a Yukie Nakama fan since then, and listening to jpop/jrock songs. I also liked animes but I'm leaning more on doramas and Japanese cultures. I discovered this site through visiting Keiko's site giftedones and decided to join the community. Yorushiku! Nice to meet y'all <3

Re: For New Members - Introduce Yourselves!
Hello
My friend recommended me this forum. She said it is much more populated then AsiaFuse. I am looking for help with identifying some dramas from youku website. I can't play them from UK. I read rules and it seems that streaming sites - youku is a streaming site - are not allowed.
Is here any exceptions or not allowed full stop?
Could I perhaps ask someone to have a look via private message?
Please explain so I don't break any rules here.
Thank you.
P.S. If not may be you could recommend another forum where I may ask this legally and withing rules?
Thank you again

Re: For New Members - Introduce Yourselves!
Hi everyone!
I love japanese drama and anime and use it almost daily for learning the language as I do not have any other possibilities to listen & learn right now. I learn japanese for acouple of years now, but I am afraid it is not very good, ganbatte imasu!
Therefore I am afraid I won't be able to contribute by subbing on this platform but I hope to be able contribute somehow. I have been to Japan in 2018 and I hope to travel there again. どう ぞ よろしくお願いいします!

Hi everyone! I'm a newbie here, but not exactly to watching Jdrama. I've been a fan since 2005, when Gokusen aired in a local channel in my country. I accidentally discovered Matsujun, and became a fan of ARASHI and Jdrama soon after. The rest is history. Happy to be part of this community!
Re: For New Members - Introduce Yourselves!
Hello people. I just stumbled upon this forum in search of a certain serial through a search engine. Decided I'd sign up! I'm new to watching Japanese serials but not new to Japanese movies - or other Asian movies. I love Japanese horror movies, they're excellent. I've been watching horror movies in general since 2009 and I started watching Japanese horror movies and subsequently other Asian horror movies since 2015. So I'm relatively new, I'd say. I watched my first Japanese serial in 2020 and it was actually a rom-com, believe it or not! I'm a sucker for plots that take place in high schools.
Re: For New Members - Introduce Yourselves!
hi everyone, I'm new here I usually watch both Korean and Japanese drama but recently I watch more jdrama which sometimes hard to find it with subtitle or takes a long time to sub than kdrama. That's why I started to join d-addicts and it's been easier for me. It's nice to know this forum and all of you

Re: For New Members - Introduce Yourselves!
Hello! Been watching Jdrama since mid 2000's probably 2005 with Gokusen which automatically made me an Arashi fan
I've been active in several forums for the past 13 years or so, most of them are now inactive so I'm pretty glad to still see one thriving, I'm so happy to be here

Re: For New Members - Introduce Yourselves!
Hi everyone I am Shin,
Well, that is what I'll go by lol. I have been hearing about this forum for a bit and I thought I'd join since I was looking to speak about Jdramas and also possibly find out where I can see some others. I'll not beg but I appreciate any help of course.
Pleased to meet everyone!
My favorite Jdrama of all time is "14 sai no Haha", mainly because it dealt with some real things and it was done incredibly well.
Some of my other favorites are "3-nen A-gumi: Ima kara Mina-san wa, Hitojichi desu", "35 sai no Koukousei", and of course, "Kodoku no Gurume", which I have been watching for a long time now.
I actually don't mind KDramas and funny enough, I used to watch them a lot. But because I am trying to become fluent in Japanese, I am exclusively watching Japanese Dramas for now. I assume I will watch more KDramas when I start to learn Korean. At any rate, I appreciate all of you drama fans!

Hi there! Im Amari. I love watching Asian Drama shows, If you're looking for some good Asian movies, I suggest you try watching A Werewolf Boy. That movie was really good and I think it was Song Joong Ki's breakout rule. I'm glad I watched that because it introduced me to Korean movies.
Re: For New Members - Introduce Yourselves!
Hi all - I’m new here! I’ve watched anime since I was a kid. I recently got into asian dramas because I’m an avid romance fan, normally books, and was struggling to find good romance TV. I started watching romance dramas and now I’m hooked!
