Japanese subs are not working

Post by darkhriss » May 28th, '10, 14:34

I tried first the instructions in the faq here, but nothing changed. I tried to open the subs with both Media Player Classic and VLC player, and then tried all kind of settings. The boxes I was seeing disappeared, but now I see some strange characters, something like a mixture of japanese, chinese, korean and weird symbols. I really don't know what to try anymore. Please help!

Ahh, sorry, forgot to mention the most important thing I guess. Yes, I have Windows XP.

Do you have the East Asian Language Pack installed? Can you see Kanji on a Japanese web site?

Yes I have it. I can see kanji on websites and it works perfectly fine in all my other programs.
