audio but no video, yet codecs installed??

Post by ktnew » Aug 30th, '08, 08:16

Hi I have CCCP installed and tried watching my torrent with media player classic and it says:

media player could not render some of the pins in the graph, you may not have the needed codec or filters installed in your system.
The following pin failed to find a filter:
C:\Users\Katie\Videos\torrent\Wish to See You Again RAWs\[6F] WTSYA 08.rmvb::Output 01 (Video Stream)

Yet i checked the torrent with GSPOT and nothing came up??? :scratch:

Torrent? Did you download the video file or rather the small torrent file?

edit: lulzy, I read the question wrong, sorry.

CCCP does not contain a "Real Media" codec, use google and search for "Real Alternative" or "Realplayer" and install it to get rm/rvmb codecs

no, CCCP has x264, divx, vobsub, etc, pretty much every other codec you need except for rm/rvmb (which i agree, sucks in term of quality, which is why they probably didnt include it)

Hi,
I downloaded and open the file but received error message as :The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file".

@luvkdrama

The error tells you exactly what you need to know, you either don't have the right codecs to play the file or it may not be a media file at all. You'll have to give more details or at least what the FULL filename is before anyone can figure out what the problem is..

Have you restarted your machine? Also, ensure that the latest codec pack is installed...

try here http://www.codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm

Good luck
