Megaupload problem

Post by NickJu » Feb 19th, '10, 15:25

I am new to the world of computer downloading, so I may be doing something wrong.
Here's my problem....I haven't been able to complete a download from Mega... I get to (let's say) 50% and then it just stops or disconnects...I am a premium member, so it's not a limit set by Mega-upload.
I live in New York State in the US and my bandwidth here is not as large as it is in some other areas and countries, so I've been told. Could that be part of the problem? Whatever anyone can tell me or solutions they can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are you using MegaManager to download? It will help resume broken downloads.

Also, make sure you are logged in for MU to recognize you as a premium member.

jdownloader is also a good software to use. it also helps with captcha recognition for the most part for megaupload and rs.

firefox is just a web browers similar it ie or whatever software you're currently using to surf the web

Firefox is a web browser, just like Windows Internet Explorer.
You can download it here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/

But, the difference is that you can customize it by installing add-on.

After, you install Firefox use it to surf the web and install the add-on
"DownThenAll!l" .
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201

Then, when downloading from megaupload a menu will pop-up, asking where
you want the file saved. Make sure to pick DownThenAll!

It's really fast and you can even press pause and finish downloading next day.
You can download 4 or 5 links max. at the same time.

And if you install the following add-on to Firefox, next time you
surf the web you can download You Tube videos:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/13990

And if you install this one, it will protect you from web ads:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

And so on,...
You can customize Firefox web browser as you like and according to your needs.

Thanks for the help!! I've never done so much on the net before as I have today. When I heard DA was shutting down its tracker, I was in a panic. This is the only site I know how to download from...You have expanded my world. Thank you so much!!!!

d-a is not the only page for drama fans to get files, but one of the most comfortable to me.
i like the forum and the wiki. Now the torrent problem found a workable solution.

@NickJu: Look at the signature of some uploaders and you will find some fansubber pages.
Also are some communitys at Livejournal or blogspot, but d-a has one of the best forum.

I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing some problems with MU links at the moment? non of the links work for me. it just goes to white empty page that won't open at all.
when i try to dl with IDM, only http file shows up and not the video file. not sure if these two problem are related to each other or not though.

You're not alone... I've been seeing people on various lists I'm on asking if others were also having problems with MU, so it's something. Apparently MU is working for me today... it wasn't on Sunday. (I'm reading people have been having issues with Rapidshare, too, unless they use the updated version of jdownloader.)

Technology going haywire? :P

Same here... After downloading about 50%, the connection went off. And sometimes, when I load the download page, they reported that the file is missing. When I try to download the same file on next day, the file is there...

Is the same going for mediafire? It's been 2 weeks since I can't load any page, even my account.
MU hates me as always so I thought nothing's suspicious...
