I am using J.River Media Center 13. Controls just about anything, and great for an iPod since the smart playlist support is better than Apples with and's and or's.

gom player for avis. arcsoft total media theatre 3 platinum for dvd's and blu rays.
they are the only players i use.

I would say the best player is GOM player !!
I can drag and drop the subtitles, synchronize it easily.. Which I don't think other players do..

Oh! I think my choice would be KMPlayer. I have been using
quite a while. Plays everything. Try it.
