From PAL DVD to NTSC

Post by kuroyuki » Dec 25th, '21, 09:27

Hello!

I am trying to rip a PAL DVD (with megui) but I cannot find a way, if any, to obtain the final video/audio at 23.976fps instead of the 25fps of the standard PAL source.

The reason for this is that I have separate subtitles for this movie but they are for an old NTSC rip, so the timing doesn´t match and it is not an issue of fixing the time a couple of times but the difference in speed between the PAL / NTSC video.

Would anyone have any suggestion on how to either turn that movie to 23.976fps or fix the speed of the subs file?

Thank you / Merry Christmas!

You could try using subedit to change the timing of the subtitles.

Oh, i see this is an old post. You have probably already solved the problem.
