SMILE AGAIN
Review:
Firstly I would like to tell the people that Switzerland is a very very very beautiful country.If you haven't been to switz but just wanna get a glimpse on how's the country scenery look like,you might get a chance here.If you are a fan of softball or baseball or even interested in perfumes you might also get some knowledge from this drama.Here's some interesting sypnosis of this drama.Lee Dong Gun plays the role of Ban Ha Jin, an orphan and high school drop out. He is calculating and ambitious. Even though he dropped out of high school and lives with Choi Yu Kang due to extenuating circumstances, he used to be the high school president and hoped to go to college. Through coincidence, he meets Yoon Jae Myung, the popular former baseball player from high school, at a bar in Switzerland. Ha Jin manipulates a series of events to become Jae Myung's best friend. Also coincidentally, he meets Oh Dan Hee, the girl he loved and hurt in high school. Oh Dan Hee used to play baseball on the boy's team but now plays softball in college. Her baseball hero is Yoon Jae Myung. All three meet again in Switzerland and again back in Korea. Ha Jin starts working in Jae Myung's father's company and does everything to make the rich chairman like him. Jae Myung starts working as the softball coach of his father's company's team but then gets transferred. He falls in love with Dan Hee who's headstrong and optimistic personality attracts him. He asks Ha Jin for advice, but Ha Jin cannot bear to watch Jae Myung take his true love.
Will the hero die in the end as there's a violence scene on it's final episode?The acting performance from both hero and heroine honestly is quite stiff especially those touchy moments or the crying session.The 2nd hero in this drama is kinda cute and looks innnocent right from the beginning.The female villain looks a little bit evil but yet you can see the brighter side of her heart during the end of the series.The supporting actors and actresses is just plain on their roles.One think for sure is that there is an eagerness to watch each episodes right from the very beginning.Sounds interesting storyline.The music is good but only about 2-3 songs.Most of the music are just musicals.Suitable for mature audience.

Thanks for coming out of this thread. I love your reviews. I've been trying to search something like this to guide me as to what series is worth watching. I love your reviews regarding the Exhibition of Fireworks. It's kind of offbeat, but very interesting. I have to add also that our sassy girl "Chun Yang" is at her best here. Oh, how she delivers her lines well during confrontational scenes with the second female lead. More power. Hope you can come out with reviews of "Really, Really Like You" soon. Will look forward to that.

Review:
Earlier location set in Australia seems interesting with a scene similar with some hollywood kinda style action pack when the hero daring himself to steal a bag of money from a group of gangster.The real problem comes when the rest of the scene shiffted back to korea.The sypnosis goes like this.Seo Haneul (Sung yuri)loses her mother in a fire accident and was later adopted by a rich family. She is a person who went through a life of many twisted fate. After Seo Gun's father married an unwed mother, since then Seo Gun has a sister in the eyes of the law. After their parents died, his sister was adopted by a rich Chairman of a large organization while he became a gangster. Upon using Haneul to extort money, Seo Gun and Haneul falls slowly in love with each other again during this period of time. In this drama you will get to know 3 guys is deeply in love with the heroine.Unlike other korean love drama where you are looking forward excitingly what's await ahead,I found out that what comes out ahead is pretty boring and dull.You will spend most of your time digging your head who's what's and how the.........This drama should not be a 16 episode series but supposingly 10.The storyline is not interesting and I think some of the scene is unecessary.Too much time wasting.The hero is a kind of guy who is willing to protect his loved one even after knowing that the heroine's dad is his parent's killer and willing to forgive and forget about it.I can assure you that there are a few touchy moments between both leading actor and actress.The heroine plays a naive role and gets easily influenced by almost anyone.Both 2nd hero and heroine plays kind role.I think the 2nd hero did not deserve to be played out by the heroine as he is a funny and kind guy.The 2nd heroine did some obstruction in the earlier stage of the drama but failed to win the hero's heart.The ending was so clumsy as it takes 3 years for everything to settle.About 2 - 3 songs are good though.A drama suitable for 25-40 years audience.

for some reason i agree with u on some of ur reviews and other i completely disagree although i do applaud ur shoot down of kim sam soon. it wasnt the greatest as everyone made it out to be, but the ost and just the constant humor was great... plus jung ryo won was heavenly haha... i hope like spring waltz.... fav ost of all time just kicked off my long time classic stairway to heaven ost

I'm currently watching Cloud Stairways just because I love Han Ji Hye (fr Sweet 18). Before that, I only watched Goong, which I didn't finish, and My Girl, one of my favorites, this year. Anyway, thanks.. your review will help me find the next good drama to watch. Btw, you might want to watch out in including some spoilers in your review. Like in Sweet 18, the part you mention "someone" died. It kinda shocked me when I watched it cos it was a very light-hearted drama.

Anyway, It seems like you're reviewing newer series. You know, you should really check out older ones. Someone mentioned Damo before, and the longer one, Dae Jang Geum. Also, since WHIB won this month's KSOTM, maybe it's a good chance to check that one out as well.

Review:
Music produced by musical instrument like piano can actually tell the pianist himself or herself's emotion.Earlier part of this drama was set in Austria and this is where all the hidden truth secret begins.Here's the sypnosis of the drama.
What if you could never forget that one person? The person you shared that spring with? In order to escape debts, Jaeha and his father runaway to the family’s home town, a small island isolated from the rest of the world. While Jaeha’s father goes on a short trip, he leaves his son under a friend’s care. Scared his father would not come back, Jaeha begins collecting money to buy his own boat ticket. However, his plans change after befriending Eunyoung, the father’s friend’s daughter. Eunyoung was born with a sickness and spent most of her childhood at home. She constantly prays to make a friend, and she finds this friendship in Jaeha. However, after a tragic accident, the two are split…only to meet again after 15 years..........
Firstly I would stand up and salute what the 2nd hero (Phillip)did in this drama.I bet that it's hard to find a guy that is very understandable,sporting and cheerful like him even he knows that what he wants may not come to him.The hero of the drama plays a weird kind of character in the beginning.However what he did actually was even greater than the 2nd hero which is transforming himself into another person in order to save the life of his loved one.The heroine plays a kind character and stay loyal to her loved one for 15 years though there is a bad incident happens to her mum because of the hero's dad.However to my suprise,the hero's dad was punished just like the heroine's mum.The 2nd heroine was kinda strict but was deeply in love with the hero since childhood.Nothing much on the role of the supporting actors and actresses.I like to think that the story was more interesting when both hero and heroine in their childhood than as adults.It gets a little boring during the middle part but looks ok in the final part.This drama is lacking of sense of humour however it's a sad drama afterall.The music are great and it's suitable for peace of mind.I can 101% assure you that you will be addicted to a song name "One Love" by loveholic.

No offense kobe23.......I posted the percentage of the chapter files in order for seeders on the episode to know how far their progress that helped my download.......without seeders it would be impossible for me to get that drama fast.........ha ha ha!Thanks again to seeders............

hm.. I would have to object to the rating for spring waltz, I think it deserved a better score than3.0 to 3.9,.. its a slower past drama, but still very good, hehe jap, so i would still highly recommend it to any1 who hasnt seen it!!

SEOUL, Feb. 10 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actress Jeong Da-bin was found dead on Saturday, local police said.

They said Jeong, 27, hanged herself at her boyfriend's house in the morning. The boyfriend, who was only identified by his last name Lee, discovered the body and reported the incident to the police.

The police suspect that she committed suicide considering there was no sign that it was a murder, and are trying to determine the exact circumstances of her death.

Jeong, who also became a South Korean pop culture star in Taiwan in 2005, acted in television dramas and movies.

JDB committed suicide, the police believe she took her own life around 3:30~50 am in the morning. Her 'boyfriend' found her in the bathroom at 7:50am and immediately called the police. HEr 'boyfriend' is 5 years her junior (22 years old. JDB is 27).
But her company is saying that they were just close friends -sunbae-hoobae relationship.

They had a lot to drink with friends the night before.
They drank from 9pm to 3 am.. they were both drunk. They went to the guys house and he fell asleep. When he woke up, he looked for her.. when he found her lifeless.. thats when he called the police.

Her family is saying.. she had no reason to die. the police are sure that is was suicide. But they do not know the motives for her suicide. She had plans for a drama in June.
A friend said she just talked to her the day before.. and she seemed to be fine.

Observers say Jeong seems to have been suffering from depression, citing comments she posted recently on her personal blog.

A message she posted on Friday, titled "Finished," said, "I'm complicated and I feel like I'm going to die...I have lost my identity."

Jeong, known for her cheerful and positive image, became a South Korean pop culture star in Taiwan in 2005, and appeared in a number of hit television dramas and movies in her own country over the past few years.

Da Bin has posted a message in her homepage before that "I'm angry but I don't know why. I feel like I'm gonna die because of stress. God... are you perhaps waiting for me?

She wrote on her Cyworld that it was 'Ending'. She left a suicide note..

I thought I was going to die because it was so frustrating.
I kept getting mad with no reason..and it was driving me crazy.
I was so tired..as if I would always get naseous..
My head hurt so much, I cried.
I almost became a slave to bad-temper and moodiness.
Lauging, then crying..it was enough to drive me crazy.
I finally began to think that I was losing myself..
And I began to lose touch.
Suddenly, like being electrocuted..Suddenly, I became peaceful.
The lord came.
He gives me strength, he strengthens my foolish self..
He teaches me strength, and makes me realize things that are close to me.
He raises me up when I was about to give up..
And he tells me that it's now alright.
I'm alright.

It's the only thing she left before she hung herself.

Imagine a story of a rich woman turn into a poor woman due to amnesia and for the first time she felt her life is meaningful.Here's the sypnosis of this brilliant drama.Based on the 1987 movie, Overboard, starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, MBC brings us the story of Anna Jo (Han Ye Seul), a rude, feisty, and audacious American-bred heiress who can never be satisfied. She returns to Korea only to continue being a controlling wife to her already cowardly husband, Billy Park (Kim Sung Min). When her yacht gets stuck for repairs, she hires local handyman Jang Chul Soo (Oh Ji Ho) to fix her shower, but when they have a heated spat over her dissatisfaction and lack of payment, she pushes him overboard and dunks his tools into the ocean right along with him. Later, after a quarrel with Billy that threatens to end their marriage, she herself gets drunkenly pitched overboard and falls victim to a bad case of amnesia.
But in the hospital, she ends up beside none other than Jang Chul Soo, who’s still recovering from his own swim in the ocean for his lost tools. If you are looking for a fun comedy and love story korean drama you might not wanna leave this drama at all.I think i can respect the actress role in this drama.She's so elegant and well spoken english.She can plays the piano too.I like to see the way she acted arrogant and rude.The hero looks cool and great too but to me the actress is at her best compare to all other actors and actresses.Anyone care for mjjangjamun?The supporting actor (anna's husband) is so funny but yet can show some emotional display at times.This drama needs a crazy woman named Kang Ja for the audience to burst out their stomach.That girl is simply funny and whatever she does.....it's laughable.Nothing much of a scenario in this drama but just plain daily life in a folk town.I think Anna's (heroine) husband is cute while Jang Chul Soo's (hero) former girlfriend is pretty adorable though nothing much role about her.However I would like to remind the fans here that throughout this drama you will be asking yourself who the heroine chooses..........her beloved funny husband or the poor folk hero?I like the theme music in this drama and the other songs are great too and listenable.I have the utmost respect for the producer of this drama on how he turns the final episode into a brilliant ending of emotional.Suitable for teenagers and mature audiences.

Nice reviews and great guide on which drama to watch next. However, I kinda liked Kim Sam Soon (not very much, but it has it's funny moments and I woudn't mind watching it again). I also enjoyed One Fine Day (I agree that there's only 3 songs to like from the OST) - maybe because I like the hero and heroine, so I'm biased towards the drama.

i don't think i can do what you're doing especially if ive to review dramas..
have to say i feel faint/weak after watching those sad series..

anyway..great reviews, have to agree with your rating of MNIKSS- it just didn't didnt for me as much as it obviously did for lots of people. also agree with your excellent rating of my 19 year old sister in law. since i like romantic comedy , this one really appealed to me.

hope you can make a review of really really like you and what's up fox soon!

oh and..fantasy couple ranked that high for you? oh well, different opinions, right?

Forgot to add this - hope you review more happy series cos it's kinda depressing to have to see your fav actor/actresses going through too much hell and end up with despair (makes me feel cheated of a happy ending - if i like being realistic, i would've stayed away from korean drama, ha, ha, ha). Also, I like it that you also watch based on attractiveness of the hero/heroine. It sounds bad, but if the lead actor or actress are both not very attractive, the pull factor is lesser. I'm gonna watch my next series based on your reviews.

This is a story of Rich and Poor, Love or Money, Truth or Lies, Happiness or Sadness and perhaps Follow your own heart or Follow what other people's think they want.If there is no love from the beginning why should there be marriage in the end?Here's the sypnosis of this drama.Seo Young Ji is ashamed of her poor upbringing and works as hard as she can to better herself. She goes to see a plastic surgeon, hoping that by changing her appearance she will feel better about herself. The surgeon, a beautfiul young woman called Jeong Ah Mi, asks Young Ji for a favor. Ah Mi has been set up on a blind date with Kim Jun Woo by her parents, but she really has no interest in going. Ah Mi has her own dark secrets and is also keen to marry well. Jun Woo is not her normal type, so she asks Young Ji to go instead of her, which she agrees to and the two of them hit it off. However, when Jun Woo discovers that Young Ji is not Ah Mi, and in fact has a poor family to look after, Jun Woo dumps her.
Add to the equation Choi Do Kyeong, a poor, but ambitious social climber, who’ll do what he can to marry a rich woman. He also dumped Young Ji, and falls for Ah Mi, but ultimately can’t decide which of the girls he likes best - regardless of how they feel about him!
I think this is almost a perfect drama for mature audiences.I admit I enjoyed the drama though it's kinda long but personally I think it's worth it.The main actress plays her role good with her cute eyes,face and maybe nose and the hero looks charming with his look not to mention cool too.But honestly I still think that the director should replace a mature main actress in this drama instead of a babyface actress to suit the mature main actor.The real deal in this drama would be the role of the 2nd hero and the 2nd heroine.The 2nd hero just make this drama comes alive with his funny,cunning yet loyal character to the 2nd heroine.The 2nd heroine or shall I say Dr Jeong Ah Mi is hot!!!Her smile can attract any men.The supporting actors and actresses did some small impact in this drama.The ending did have a tinyl suprise regard the 2nd heroine and the 2nd hero to me but fortunately it was okay as expected.Great drama and definately not boring to me.The songs in this drama are great with at least 3-5 of it are listenable.
