D-addicts makes Japans No1 English Magazine (well sort off)

Post by nxi4 » Dec 21st, '05, 10:48

Just to let you know of something i spotted a while back.

In Japan, there is a free magazine every Friday called Metropolis covering everything from news, sports, entertainment, classifieds etc.

Back in September they did a story how in June(?) the most popular search on Google Japan was "Densha-otoko".

Beside the text was a frame of the search results for "Densha-otoko" and low and behold, there was D-addicts' drama wiki as the first result!!

Obviously the top search on Google Japan for that month would have of course been the kanji for Densha-otoko and not english, but anyway :roll .

When I saw D-addicts making an appearence in Metropolis which most foreigners in Japan read every week, I thought I would have to post it here. :-)

It's written in English because, if you read the magazine cover, it is "Japan's No.1 English Magazine".

3. Speak using complete English words.
4. The Internet is international. Respect regional and cultural values.

Crazy stuff!

Looking at the search results, at least 3 have some links to Bittorrent!
