I was just wondering what people watch on T.V. these days (this does not incl. asian dramas in case you were wondering). Since I don't get much time and I also like spending my "watching time" watching j/k/hk- dramas I have no idea what's on T.V. I do however have some favorite shows I'll watch when I get the chance.
The O.C. - I never miss an ep. The only show I watch religiously and I have no idea why ^^ (thank goodness for timeshifting)
The Wrong Coast - It can be hilarious sometimes
Family Guy - It is hilarious all the time
Dave The Barbarian - I catch it sometimes before work. It can be hilarious as well
All the other shows I used to like are gone like
Undergrads,
The Oblongs and
Downtown
.
Oh and if you don't watch T.V you can write that too.

Whatever happens to be on Adult Swim or old TV shows like the fresh prince and Roseanne

but, I NEVER miss an episode of Lost...so obsessed. I tried to get into the O.C. but...Lost kinda took over my brain.

i watch a lot of stuff but my can't miss shows include:
veronica mars
lost
crossing jordan
house
veronica mars and lost are on at the same time so usually the dvr is recording veronica mars while i'm watching lost. on the days i can't be there to watch lost, the dvr records both shows for me. this means i hog the tv even when i'm not around. hahaha...and people thought men were bad, i'm even worse.

I don't watch much newer tv shows, but when I feel like it, I watch
Threshold
The 4400
Gilmore Girls
Supernatural (Sometimes. It's getting rather repetitive and boring now...)
Friends
Will & Grace
Everybody Loves Raymond
I watch Nick @ Nite too, except for Fresh Prince of Belair. That is getting really old and I'm sick of watching the same reruns I've seen a hundred times already. ~_~

I honestly don't watch much local/national shows anymore. I even miss the news, that's why I didn't find out a category 5 hurricane was coming our way until our professor started talking about the school cancelling classes. I didn't know how serious it was until I went to the gas station and super market where people were panic buying. Anyway as for shows... if i do watch tv, it's just reruns of friends, will and grace, seinfield, sex and the city, nbc/abc/cbs documentaries.. is scrubs still on air? i'd like to watch gilmore girls and that er-like show from either cbs/abc but i always forget.

LOL, me too. Ever since I discovered K and J-drama, I am not interested in watching what I used to watch, which is British English TV series, 24 HRS, etc.

Hehe, if I'd pay more attention for the news (tv, radio, newspaper) I would have known in time that there was a bomb at my university yesterday which is why all classes were canceled. ^^; Not only was I stupid enough to go to school I even found myself in a life or death situation all of a sudden. Lol.
I do watch some tv shows every once in a while though:
Desperate Housewives
Nip Tuck (gotta love the show)
Gilmore Girls
King of Queens
I also used to watch Sex and the City some time ago

Besides asian dramas, I only watch anime. Haven't watched TV for 11 years except for having seen 2 episodes of something called stargate, which seemed to star a bunch of pieces of wood carted around on wheels, and meaningless dialogue issued from the TV speaker while the pieces of wood rolled around. Oh, and I saw 15 seconds of an episode of Seinfeld, which I remember perfectly: "Princess is in a hurry... yes princess, I live only to do your nails!" Yeecccchhh.

As for me, I hardly watch TV anymore because there is no cable .. Haha so my entertainment value is my computer which has loads of stuff in it. But ya when I do go home where there is cable, I like to watch anything in WB, Disney and Fresh Prince..
Yah, I'm one of those ppl who likes to watch reruns of shows especially when they are so funny. Who here has watch reruns of Saved By the Bell, and Family Matters, etc. Come on guys I know you all have !!! Heheh. Right now, I'm into watching dramas, animes and reading mangas. Oh and instead of watching TV, I play video games when I have time in the weekends.

I had to re-read the title of this thread a couple of times.
is there anything but Asian dorama??
As I'm stuck in a shielded office in average 15-18 hours a day, (no kidding) I would say there isnt much else but puter based dorama here.
Even the music I run here is all Asian based.
I do recall I saw "Around the world in 80 days" just recently on a cable show but thats only because Jackie Chan was in it. LOL

Hahah I expected as much. It makes sense that you guys don't have time for TV. I mean, watching all these dramas provided here takes time enough! And to the person that's watching ROME...I wish I had HBO!

Reading this and many other threads on here, I begin to come to the conclusion that the only time we'd be fully aware of something like internet & download addiction, would be if someone made a dorama about it and consequently leaked it to a torrent tracker somewhere.

lately i've been catching larry david's mock documentary series curb your enthusiasm on hbo (a more descriptive title would have been,"the hilarious misadventures of a socially graceless hollywood jew").... imagine if seinfeild didn't have to worry about network censors or the fcc, and you have curb your enthusiasm.

Don't watch TV too much either... If I have spare time I prefer watching drama rather than watching TV, but I have a list of shows: The Apprentice, Jay Leno, and fear factor ( the bug/insect eating stunt in particular.. it's just wacky

but i still do enjoy futurama, family guy (only some.. that show has gone downhill), samurai champloo, fullmetal alchemist, THE BOONDOCKS (XD this show is hillarious!!!), and.. uh... foster's home for imaginary friends (cute!!

And to all you Family Guy-ers out there...BRAPS! I just got the first three seasons book guide. It's too hilarious. I heard there are new eps but I haven't caught any. It seems that it's sucking now. Shame, really.

I started watching Smallville after the idiots at the WB cancelled Angel in 2004. That's it right now other than Prison Break, which I marathoned a couple weeks ago because people kept telling me how awesome it is.
I'll be watching 24 and The Shield when they return in January.

It's funny how Asian Dramas are cutting into our "normal" TV watching. If I were a marketer, I'd be scared.........
Shows that I watch:
Veronica Mars
The OC
Shows that I like:
Every Law & Order under the Sun. Dude even the failed spin-offs. I'm serious, you just need to play that intro and show me some lawyers err... lawyering and I'm so down to watch it.
Nip Tuck
The Daily Show
--
All of these shows I haven't watched for almost a month. Since I've been watching Asian Dramas. J and K Dramas seem alot more compelling and fresh in the way they tell their stories. And I think that we're watching the best of the best and not really wading through the trash (oh which I hear there is alot on Japanese TV).

Interest in Pinoy Big Brother waned after the game ended so now the show that I look forward to every week on local tv is
So You Think You Can Dance where the contestants compete to win as best dancer in this show. The contestants change partners and dance styles by picking a name & style every week. There's lyrical, jive, quick step, hip-hop, jazz and others. Also, there's
Bleach.
