Ichi was really good, you can pretty much get the vcd for like 10 bucks. Anyways anyone know any up coming dramas or movies that she'll have a role in? I haven't heard much these past few months about anything shes doing.

With out a doubt watch Byakuyakou. Its one of the best drama's I've ever seen. Yes its very dark. Haruka and Takayuki give epic performances.
(Not to take away from Sekai, its a great drama too)

Its my #1 drama still lol, I just wonder if they'll creat another drama similar to it in the future, or atleast a Takayuki, Ayase drama since their chemistry if dramas seem to be very good.

I've watched only the first episode of Mr. Brain and I think her role is okay. It's still a pretty big part. It also seems that there will be some kind of development between Hiro Mizushima's character and hers.

I officially am in love with Ayase Haruka since Byakuyakou (girl crush

) This series is awesome. I cannot stress enough how awesome it is. Not a series to help you relieve stress, but wonderful in terms of the plot, acting (Yamada Takayuki is great), filming, the colors, the details, the meanings behind the characters (they have such depth) is unbelievable. It's now my third favorite jdramas of all time behind Nodame Cantabile and Nobuta wo Produce (I don't want to rank favorites, Nodame will be my all time favorite because it was the first series I fell in love with, but in my opinion all three of them are extremely well done).

I'm kind of sad that there's no real great English source for Haruka news

If anyone knows please tell me!!!!

Haven't seen her new movie Ichi yet, but I've seen Cyborg Girl, Hotaru no Hikari, and Tatta hitotsu no koi. Tatta is one of my favorite Jdramas. But I still think she looks the best in Byakuyakou (despite her ... role, hehe, those of you who haven't seen it will understand once you start watching).

Just watched Ichi. Man it was good. I felt that I'd be watching that again.

Her acting is just awesome...And the singing again too. And the playing of the shamisen. Lol I'm noisy.

DL'ing Byakuyakou now, but it's really slow because there are very few seeders. I'm downloading the SARS fansubbed one.

Haruka Ayase (25), Masaki Okada (20), and Shinichi Tsutsumi (45) will co-star in a new movie by television director Masayuki Suzuki, titled "Princess Toyotomi." The story is based on a novel of the same name by writer Manabu Makime.

Makime's previous works include "Kamogawa Horumo" and "Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi," which have both been given live-action adaptations. Suzuki was one of the directors involved in Fuji TV's 2008 drama series based on "Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi." Ayase also played a main character on that show.

"Princess Toyotomi" is described as a historical mystery, likened to the Dan Brown thriller "The Da Vinci Code." Blending fiction and historical fact, the novel was published last year and was nominated for the prestigious Naoki Prize.

Ayase, Okada, and Tsutsumi play three elite bureaucrats in the national Board of Audit. While reviewing the government's spending, they stumble upon a discrepancy in Osaka, leading them to unravel a secret that has been kept hidden for 400 years.

Filming starts in July. The movie is expected to be released during early summer 2011.

Does anyone know what the TV show call that had Haruka Ayase at Hong Kong? I am pretty sure it was recent.

There WAS a clip of it on youtube, but it is gone now.

The clip had her experiencing a foot massage, drinking Chinese Herbal Tea, and catching (??) a golden monk.

It kinda late, but i just finished watching sekai no shushiin wo ai sekabu (2004) last month. here i realize how great the drama is and surprised by ayase haruka chan great acting.
then i feel that i wanted more from her so i decided to watching Cyborg she,hotaru no hikari for both series (1 & 2) and finishing all 22 episode in just 2 days..i really like the fact that she played amemiya role very very well...
hence, i cant see any japanese actress can playing this very down to earth roles as what she did..

i knew i totally falling for her when i discover her trueself was a really humble and natural like..it means when i watched her in variety show, she look so innocent, naive and somehow she not realize when they (tv show host) actually making fun of her..how adorable is that???

demo..here is the irony

when i watched mr.brain last year (2010), her role as assistant to kimutaku and her itself never occured to capture my sight and my heart. frankly said i totally ignored her existence in the the drama as kimutaku seem to own all the spotlight there.

finally evrything changing..yes i can define myself from now on as her #1 fan.
also as her fan my next mission is to watch all her previous project.

how tall is she? A lot of sources say she's 165cm. However watching Hotaru no Hikaru, she seems much taller than that. Standing next to the male lead (supposedly 180cm), she looks just a few cms shorter (wihtout shoes).

I totally agree with you.

However, the season 1 seems to be better than 2.
This is my personal preference, but she looks healthy at season 1

and really thin at season 2.
