Whoa, that's fast! Are school systems different in other states or something? Anyways, I'm 20 and I feel old already

I think either it's different per state or it's because there's no real set age to enter school. I know I didn't skip any grade and was 16 when I entered college in a different state. and it was weird because I was younger than some of the people who where still in high school, but i was one of the oldest in my graduating class.

Hmm then I can drink legally(here drinking is 16+) and drive scooters/motors..
But then again..I don't even like alcohol(it's so bitter) and I'm perfectly fine going to school by bike so..

as for me i'm 18!....but i still feel 17

ah.. well...
i'll be 21 this year... LEGAL AGE TO DRINK!!! (honestly: i won't drink until i'm 21.)
this is also a reminder to me that i'm not getting younger by the years... so i better start dating soon (note: i've never dated before!!!) so i can get marry in the future.... or i'll be an old maid!!!!

Drama or not, I watch what is most interesting and well done. I am however new to J-Drama, and since I'm already in love with their culture and ways of living, their dramas are only escalating this love...hehealbertoavena wrote:Didn't realize so much fans of dramas were 20+.. I still on occassion watch american shows, but rarely. I havn't listened to american music in well over 3 yrs now. [Its all turned into RAP in one form or another....disgusting} ~ Asian music is what i love now, especially pop.

Yeah, same here... My mp3 players is mostly filled with J-pop/J-Rock/other J-assortments as well as classical, Trance, other instrumentals, spanish, etc.. I think I have a few in english but it's pretty onld music as opposed to rap and "bling-bling" crap.Katashi Takishiro wrote:Drama or not, I watch what is most interesting and well done. I sometimes watch american tv, but rarely. Maybe just Family Guy sometimes..
I don't want to bash America though and say I hate all American things, but I've just been observant and questioned some things.

Oh! Take ur time an enjoy it while ur still young. I remember being ur age and wishing I was 21, not to drink but to just be finally labeled an adult and be able to have more fun, next thing u know I woke up and was 28. I barely remember what happened all those yrs and accomplished so little. I should have pursued learning japanese and schooling earlier in my life, but I learned the hard way and now its even harder to get started.cuteaznj9 wrote:wow there's not much 15-16 in here according to the poll
I'm turning 16
OMG!! I'm sooo young grrrrr >_< I wish I was older
Anyway, enjoy ur young life as it is, but if u really love something now, go for it and pursue ur dream now!!!, and don't look back or next thing u know u'll almost be 30...hehe

^That's true. My sister is 8 and a half years older than me. When I turned 21, she said "The birthdays will just fly by now and you'll be in your late 20's before you know it". She was right. I remember my 21st birthday and was so excited. Then, a week and a half ago I turned 25 and wondered "Where the hell did it all go?" T__T I feel like there are no more fun ages left to turn.
