I don't mind meeting up in the city as well. Except it's kind of difficult for me on weekdays since i have alot of contact hours.

I am from Brisbane! Sadly I have to rely on friends since I only have dial up. Thankfully I was able to trade with some fantastic people which helped my addiction

I'm extremely keen to get in on the DVD trading posting game, but at the moment I'm in Taiwan. I get back to Australia early in October, so at that point I'm keen to join in, I have a bunch of stuff I can contribute, but I don't have the list with me. I also have a stack of Japanese and Korean movies to contribute if people are interested.

I think Scarface's suggestion to send him the dvds now instead of adding as we go along is a good idea. That way no one will miss out.

I was sorting through my stacks of media (it's a pain when its in spindles - looking for the ROTK VCDs) and thought all these dramas and anime are going to waste collecting dust in the back of my cupboard..
so I thought it might be an idea if i share these via snail mail..
what I suggest is like trading except I dont want to burn!
I will open a kind of library system for Aussies Only (sorry to everyone else - unless u want to pay for expensive postage), that way you won't need to download so much and can save your bandwidth for the latest stuffs.. yes, linux distros

All I ask is that you be careful with the discs as I will be sending out my (sometimes only) copies so please be gentle with them and use decent packaging when sending them back to me. I would also appreciate you sending back some stamps to cover my postage to you but it's not a pre-requisite if you really cant afford it. Depending on how many people may want the service, I might be shelling out too much postage and I don't really want to be out-of-pocket by too much
I'll make a list of what I have and will put it up this weekend.

I'm stuck at home for the next few weeks so we'll see how this goes..
I only want to share what I have and hopefully to inspire others to share and spread their goodness as well that's all.

Yes or No?

Sometimes there are too many dramas that get released at once and by the time I finished 1 series all the seeds are gone... oh well guess you can't have everything...

Edit: I pay $72/mth with Westnet. Speed is not the problem for me, it is the god damn d/l limit.. Honestly 30gb/mth off peak, which is from 12am-7am, is too much.. on the other hand 30gb/mth Peak is not enough... Wish it was 40/20 because I never fill up 30gb off peak no matter how hard I tried..

why don't you go with shiftreload? they charge 74.95/mth no ports are blocked and unlimited dls. I am and the speed is 512/128

like the Trick s1 disc, there's a movie with it.. err, i dont remember what but there is one.. lol
i think i may have tacked other movies onto the end of other discs.. just ones floating around on my hdd at the time of burning.. seemed a waste of space not to fill it up =X

What does VSS mean? Does it mean Volunteer Seeder S....? If it does, I'm afraid I'm very poor in the knowhow. To learn about bittorrent,etc, I still in the dark in lots of areas. I, basically, learn to do the usual downloads of what was being taught to me. Anything more I need HELP!! Sorry to show such ignorance.
Animetama, the list I made is only mandarin audio with chinese subtitles, no English!! I've seen 99% of the chinese dramas on your list and also have DVDs of some of them but not TVB series. I usually don't bother to keep the copies for long after watching them via hiring of video tapes. Somehow, I never like to watch them again and again like other chinese, korean and japanese dramas. But I do have "Lofty Waters Verdant Bow" and "Eternal Happinese" on tapes.

Yes, VSS= Volunteer Series Seeding
You dont really need to do anything more technical than what you are already doing to download files and seed to 100%
All VSS is, is uploading files you've completely downloaded previously but in an organized fashion so others know you are re-seeding for a certain amount of time.

I am next to receive the DVDs.

I would also like to contribute to the DVD collections. Do i just add in the DVDs and send it off to the next person? or do i need to send it to some one, like Scarface?

sorry i was in japan a couple of weeks ago when Scarface PMed me. i went to the world expo

Cool, you went to the expo.. i- na- !
Dont send your dvds to me, just wait until you get the package then add them to it. once the package has gone around it will probably have more dvds anyway. when the time comes we will all choose which dvds we want to keep in the package and probably send it around again with the ones we want + new ones

Maybe we should setup an Australian Trading Thread, as this one is getting clutted with trade requests / responces.



Doo doo I'm going to add some new stuff when the package gets here, as I have been able to get a few dramas over the past few days.
