Report problems with uploading torrents here

Post by jianghufs » Mar 28th, '14, 15:58

We are long time subbers. I am personally flabbergasted at how the mods are curbing the responses from us subbers. Are you even listening? I can no longer report ANYTHING like this in the *proper forum*! The original thread is removed and so, here we are... silencing reports from fansubbers and pretending *NOTHING* wrong has happened!

Torrent upload system is broken for the umpteenth time and I am getting f**king tired about it---especially more so now that we are no longer allowed to report it in the proper forum. Now get your act together or else we'll take our business elsewhere!

Do you get any error message after clicking "Upload"?
I haven't read about any problems about posting torrents in a while. Today I have seen several torrents been posted.
At the moment, BaekSoo is the one who's mod over the torrents being submitted.
But you're the Uploaders usergroup, so you're torrents should go through.

The upload button did nothing. It is not internet problem from my end. No error message whatsoever.

I understand that things are broken from time to time, but to castrate the reporting system is completely unacceptable.

Evidently the upload system works again now. Thanks! Mods: Please make a thread in the official announcement forum for broken upload report.

Looks like you're just having a bad day.

Evidently the problem seems to be on your end. There's multiple uploads by other uploaders without any problems whatsoever. If there were any upload problems then I'm sure other uploaders and NOT just you will be reporting about it.

Please have a nice day! :D

Right. It might have been a hiccup on your end that lasted less than 30 min or so since I did not find any torrent uploads between my first post and the next torrent.

Thanks for the condescending tone!

30 mins is not such a long time. Try not being able to upload for a few DAYS. We resorted to uploading the torrents in a "different" way.

and

There were even uploads at the ShoutBox itself. Until someone said that it was scrolling off too quickly.

Sorry for the trouble you had. But, what do you mean with "we are no longer allowed to report it in the proper forum." or with "to castrate the reporting system" ?

The Tech Support forum is the #1 place to report technical problems and to ask for technical help. If you get no help you can additionally use the report function to report your own posting to get attention from the mods. There may be times were only few or even no mods are around to help out. Remember, we don't run a business here. This site is just for fun.

Certain serious technical issues can be solved by our tech admins only. In such cases it may take some additional time if the admins need to be informed by the moderators first.

The upload problems we had last November have been sorted out long ago. It was caused by an uncoordinated software update which caused several incompatibilites with older software components and broke the upload service and several other things. This shouldn't happen again.
Usually you get an error message if the upload procedure failed for some reason.

Upload button not working again

Post by chindokae » Apr 17th, '14, 20:47

Connections to port 8080 are timing out again

telnet www.d-addicts.com 8080
Trying 46.165.216.85...
telnet: connect to address 46.165.216.85: Operation timed out
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host

No uploads == no new dramas

No new dramas == unhappy significant other

Unhappy significant other = no supper

No supper = starvation and death

therefore

No dramas == death

Just trying to get the button working for the uploaders in case it is broken.

No K-Dramas have been uploaded since yesterday. That is unusual to say the least. On the 15th there were about 40 - an above average day. On the 16th there were 6, way below average and port 8080 (the upload daemon) was unreachable when I checked it at about 5 PM EST yesterday and again today.

I am beginning to suspect that certain ISP's may be playing games with traffic shaping again.

Or maybe all the uploaders decided to take a nice spring holiday on Jeju-do.

It isn't broken, there was a boat accident in Korea a couple of days ago. The TV stations have been covering it and no dramas have been airing regularly.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. S.O. has been crying about the Sewol ship sinking for days.

Also aware that none of the major ROK networks have stopped airing new shows. The schedules are online and they stream them. If only our ISP monopoly would stop chopping up the streams we would have no need to download them.

There are something like 225 HD digital cable channels there, so the dramas NEVER stop. They have full time news channels just like we do. If you want to hear about the sinking, flip to YTN.

Please, edit the post for your torrent
http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_153406.htm
and add more information about it.

What's it's it about, and a screenshot.
