Torrent tabbed thingy - added to profile

Post by Ruroshin » Jan 25th, '05, 11:33

Well as you can see now I've done away with the whole 2 table thing and have made seperate pages for the various subtitle type which you can access via the tab thingy :)

The next step will be to add a "tab" preference in user's profile.

Tell me what you think.

The tabs are ok. The two tables are fine too.

Why are there tabs for both Chinese when looking at the torrent page, they are either unseeded or contain no seeding info..?
I hate to say it but now D-addicts looks to be invaded somehow..
just my opinion of cos'

Oh yeah, I didn't put up the Japanese and Korean sub tab because there's not enough of them to really justify having a tab there.

Ruroshin Sama
this latest visual tab thingy is just AWESOME!!!!
great idea

:notworthy:

the two tables were not clear enough with not enough to see for each section, here we have a clear interface easy to browse!

I agree with lilswtangel; it seems quite a bit too light in color, the background. Or making the text darker would help.

Just need the preference in profile function added and it'll be pretty good for the end user. :) But it'll still be a **** for the MODs who have to clean up the RAWS and other languaged subbed torrents. :-(

I like it! I like it! :lol Looks a lot neater as one table and the tabs are super easy for sorting by the major subtitle types. Just a question on whether there's any plan to make the filter work in conjunction with the tabs. For example, kdrama + Raw or jdrama + English sub? Or is that not possible to work out?

very nice layout! :thumleft:

and where is the unknown sub tab? :lol

I have shortened the unknown table as much as possible. Now it contains only chinese subbed torrents (no mod knows whether it is CHS or CHT) and some torrents with no info in the comments. I guess most of the unknown torrents are dead.

Not quite

Post by delsxyz » Jan 25th, '05, 20:24

One more easy tab or button is needed
RAW
...(one button to sort by "Jdrama")

Note--is it possible to have "Left Aligment instead of Right"
Unless one uses Wide Screen LCD, one must use slide bar
to to "GO" button. If left alignment, one can see "go" button
without useing a slider, by the way.

So I always use "

No wonder, those fonts are huge. Maybe instead of ignoring the font size specified by the webpage, you can choose to increase the font to large? Well I know Firefox can do it and IE should be able to as well. Avant AFAIK is just a proxy on top of IE right? So it should work.

Really though I can't make the site viewable to all if people choose to ignore the settings I've set out.

So...

Post by delsxyz » Jan 27th, '05, 03:11

If you cannot move entries, then, it is ok.
Attached is a screen capture in IE.
Font change ( medium--large--largest) Does not help visually.
The only way to make fonts visible in higher resolution is to
use Accessibility setting to ignore fonts.

Well the screen shot shows the forum index page where you can see the maximum table width already so of course its not going to change any visual elements. Try those fonts sizes on the torrent page where you were having problems.

Added a custom tab where you can fine tune the listing. I needed to implement this before I can I do the profile thingy which will be next.

oh this is definitely good. perhaps once you've choosen your defaults, you can get rid of all the checkboxes above--as it does looke a bit too much. But the customization is great!

Awesome work Ruro!

May not be working correctly.

I've updated my profile, now it only seems to go to Custom tab. When I click on MY TORRENTS to see the torrents I've uploaded, it doesn't take me there. Instead it reshows the Custom listing.

right that would make too many tabs, you can use the custom tab or you can just select OST from the filter search select box and hit go that will work too :-)
