What is the Japanese Series of the Week (SoTW)? More Info Here
Due to the substantial number of torrents on this site, we implemented a "Series of the Week," where we could dedicate bandwidth and seeding efforts to a specific series. This helps in several ways:
1. People will know which series was voted and will be seeded, rather than just waiting and hoping for them to be seeded at some later date.
2. For those seeders who have DVD burners and have already burnt their collections to DVD/CD, the series of the week gives them an opportunity to dust off those archives and help seed their favorites.
3. Constantly re-circulates older torrents back into view, and focuses bandwidth and demand toward specific torrents, rather than having people request series across the board.
Remember, D-Addicts was started for the community, and being a part of the community means sharing. If you don't share, then everyone loses (refer to JEM's dropping of cdramas). Bittorrent and DA works much better if you share as others have shared with you.

======================================================================

If you are willing to seed any of the series in the poll, please post a reply here or in the JSoTW: Looking For Volunteer Seeders thread or PM anyone of the mods or admins. There are still several series which do not have volunteer seeders, so any help would be greatly appreciated! The more seeders we have, the more variety we will have in future JSoTW polls!

Reminder: You must have at least 10 posts to vote. Don't start spamming the forum, but this encourages you to get involved in some of those drama discussions!

The Sorimachi pack! :lol

1- I hate long ^^" dramas
2- I want to see Beach Boys so much (Cheap Love is cute and Sorimachi is sooo sexy, instead I didn't know anything about Hotman!)
3- (But not the least) Sorimachi :drollllllls: :Q________

I know, such good and deep reasons.... :roll

Takashi Sorimachi Pack!

I too don't like long series (30 episodes is the most I can stand). So the other two series are waaaaay long. :D
And, c'mon there are no good or bad reasons - it's either you like it or not :P

I vote Musashi because I loved Eiji Yoshikawa's book and taiga dramas are always fun to watch... It has Yukie Nakama in it also!!!

It looks like the Takashi Sorimachi Pack is probably going to win though. :(

Awwwwwwwwwwh! Churasan doesn't stand a chance, does it? It was kind of unfair to put a pair of long dramas up against a pack of popular ones. =/

Sigh. Oh well... There's still lots of time left in the poll, and I will hope for a turnaround! :D

Come one everyone, vote Churasan! It's AWESOME!

Oooh, I want to see all of these. So hard to pick!

I hope Churasan comes back... I love Asadora, esp. now that I'm about to become a housewife. :-)

I don't know how good it is, but I really liked the one asadora that got shown on my local TV station ("Wakaba"), and I like the little tiny easy-to-watch chunks that they come in; perfect for a busy schedule. *And* I love seeing life in areas of Japan other than Tokyo... so I'd like to see it.

What I'd REALLY love someday is to get to watch some of the asadora from the 60s & 70s & 80s, but I'll probably need to become fluent in Japanese for that to happen.

i voted for churasan

I have already seen all of those takashi sorimachi dramas and more. Also, I think Hotman is easily available on SarsFansubs XDCC bots while Cheap Love has been series of the week about 20 times. Either way though, those are great dramas and if it wins hopefully even more people can grow to love Sorimachi as much as I do. I have seen overtime, wonderful life, dream again, 14 sai, cheap love, hotman, hotman 2, beach boys, sengoku jietai, GTO and the movie about genghis kahn, yamato and 13 kaidan. all of his stuff is excellent from what i've seen except for sengoku jietai.

I personally wanted Musashi myself. I like those Taiga Drama, and always liked the character of Musashi myself. If the 3 pack wins, will be ok, since I haven't seen any of those dramas yet, but have heard many things about them.

Beach Boys sounds really nice...but when else will a 25GB series get seeded?

+1 for the Churasan, the others can be slow-leeched ;)

I've watched about 30 episodes of Churasan and I love it. The characters are all memorable and fun to watch, and I totally agree about the easy-to-watch 15 minute episodes. They're great for fitting into my mornings before work and during breakfast, or in between episodes of other "hour" long dramas.

I really hope Churasan will catch up to the pack this week. I think it needs this more than the pack!

I was surprised that Musashi was up for JSOTW already but, after checking the JSOTW Volunteer list, I noticed that most of the NHK taiga dramas had no volunteers.
Just want to say that I'm way too busy now, but I'll volunteer in a few months to seed some of the taiga dramas that have no volunteers now (thanks to Nanashi Gonbei, ap, and other uploaders of jidaigeki)
