Series of the Week 05/24/04 = From the Heart

Post by thetenken » May 10th, '04, 06:40

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU MAY BE LIABLE TO MY EXPRESSIONS OF DISPLEASURE.

Taking nominations for the next series of the week. Let me know what you want to add to the poll and I'll add it. From this point forward only series that have a volunteer seeder will be put up into the poll.

PLEASE NOMINATE AND VOTE ONLY FOR THE DRAMAS OFF THE COMPLETED DRAMAS LIST:
http://www.d-addicts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3500

Last time's runner-ups:

Younger Men - http://www.jdorama.com/viewtopic_3702.htm and http://www.kikutv.com/shows/younger_men/index.html
From the Heart - http://jdorama.com/drama_490.htm

Others:

Love Generation - http://jdorama.com/drama_243.htm

Previous Series of the Week:
Oyaji
Otousan
Attic Cat
Koi ga Shitai x3 (Where is Love?)
Strawberry on the Shortcake (S.O.S.)
Cheap Love
Big Wing
Hotman

What is a series of the week?
Since there are now a substantial number of torrents on this site, we have implemented a "Series of the Week," where we could dedicate most of the bandwidth to a particular series during that week. This helps in a couple of ways:

1. People will know what series are available and have seeds, rather than just waiting and hoping for them to be seeded at some later date.

2. For those seeders who have DVD burners and have already burnt their collections to DVD/CD, then with the series of the week they know which series can be pulled off of DVD to help seed, minimizing troublesome multiple DVD loading.

3. Constantly re-circulates older torrents back into view, and focuses bandwidth and demand toward those specific torrents, rather than having people request series across the board.

Remember, D-Addicts was started for the community, and being a part of the community means sharing. If you don't share, then everyone loses (refer to JEM's dropping of Cdramas), and a good thing open to all may become a private party.

I take no responsibility for deleting poll entries if there are no seeds. No complaints, as this is a community effort. If the community doesn't want to share, then you're SOL.

Well it's been posted before here (by groink)... I've got 8 out of 11 episodes... I could post and seed these episodes if people select it for the week's drama if of course somebody else can help on the three other episodes...

Weekly choice

Post by Peggy » May 13th, '04, 17:30

Since I have only seen two episodes, I would dearly love to see more of 'Million Stars
Fell'. It is quite an old drama but very interesting I believe.
Fingers crossed here.

I decided to pop in here because I like voting for things. Never seen a j-drama before but maybe I'll start. They seem to have a small amount of episodes which is pretty cool. Anyhoo, I voted for Younger Men. It needed some votes and the story seems pretty interesting. The people in it arn't hard on the eyes either.

Actually I have the bad quality subbed version (2 episodes missing ...)
Well the bad quality may disgust a few ppl a bit but what would you prefer?
Not understanding 90% but nice picture ... or Understanding everything but low resolution (vcd)

I wonder if someone know a crewmember of the group who subbed lovegeneration before, they should have saved their subtitle works before hardsubbing the video.
Maybe the possibility is low but if we could get the subtitles in a srt. file or whatever it's easy to hardsub the good quality videos. The timing should be the same andeven if there is a slight difference it's easy to edit ti.

Looks like Sutaa no Koi is the biggest success for a SOTW so far :)

I'll change the SOTW to From The heart when i get home from work.
