Dubbing isn't necessarily bad. I remember watching shows in Japan that were dubbed and they were ok. I think the key is whether you have decent dubbers or not. I have no idea why, but the U.S. is not a good place to watch things dubbed (we have a lot of bad voice actors for some reason).

Hmm, i feel Byakuyakou has a much more disturbing, darker theme then Kemono michi. I mean cmon, 11 year old kids committing murder, acts of child pornography, prostitution and other heinous crimes. Parents would probably think twice to let their young kids to watch this drama..let alone watching to...

@gixo Thanks. I try to do my best. :D If you have any more questions, I'll be happy to try and answer them. Well, back to watching some more dramas. :P Currently hooked on Kudo Kankuro stuff. Tiger & Dragon, Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Manhattan Love Story, and hoping that Kisarazu Cat's Eye will be ...

Oh cool, good luck guys!

I can't commit to any kind of long term project, but if it's a question here or there, I am more than willing to help.

There are lots of things that annoy me, but one thing that always gets on my nerves on a daily basis is the fact that people in Japan smoke a lot. (I'm slightly allergic.)

Try Jikou Keisatsu, it's more comedy than mystery.

And always try the NHK year long historical dramas that start at the beginning of the year.

Hmm by age cohort groups

50 Matsuzaka Keiko
40 Sawaguchi Yasuko
30 Kimura Yoshino
20 ??? Still can't decide (it takes a while for someone to be established as well)

So I didn't vote for anyone on the poll.

Hehe, keep the mini jokes coming. By the way, do you really sweat a lot when you eat hotfood? Or add "yes" after you lie? Personally, I don't think I sweat (at least noticeably to me) or add "yes." Yes. But you are right, it seems that there is no overarching theme or plot to the show. Unless it's t...

@gixo Yeah that seems rather excessive. I guess it all depends on the teacher you get, but unfortunately in any formal setting the language you are going to learn is going to be the polite/formal language. (As far as I know, no school teaching English teaches Ebonics for example.) And on the topic o...
