The one book store I go to is Hakubundo. It is on Kapiolani Blvd across from Ala Moana Center. It is somewhat of a hole-in-the-wall with a limited selection - as they focus mostly on magazines, instructional books and novels. Pokute san, arigatou gozaimasu. It understand the verb format of waku but I guess that it needs to be in noun format, which it didn't explain. The recipe needs to read 3 cups boiling water. Maybe I'll just use oyu.
