It is a long series but quite interesting and informative (though confusing sometimes). When my brother and I went to Japan I made sure we went to Kanazawa. Saw the castle, the beautiful gardens and the Maeda family shrine. In one store there was even a Toshiie and Matsu poster, which I just had to ...

I think it's because in western (white) people's minds, Japan values and morals are more likely to match. For instance, I know about some cases where people married a Chinese woman and suddenly she disappeared to China and there was no way of contacting her again. That is all well and good, but not...

Hope no one has melted, with more crazily hot days to come! Thankfully it is only in the 30s here in Sydney. If there are any pretty ladies in Australia (hell, or anywhere) who want to send me their name, age, picture, address, email, phone numbers, etc I will burn and send them some dramas. As the ...

I think it's a combination of the fact that Japan is the most developed country in Asia and is famous/infamous for lots of crazy stuff - anime, manga, inventions, and general weirdness. Awareness of Chinese and Korean culture is growing, but the Japanese are streets ahead in that regard. The media h...

I know that the plot required that Alice temporarily "lose" all her wealth, but the way that it happened was completely bizarre  . Gotoda "Bought the rights to manage the Mitazono Group" so therefore Alice and Makiko were penniless? I may not be an expert on corporate machinations or corpor...

Anything with Hany Hye Jin in it can't be that bad, so I thought. But a show about wine? Watched the first ep, hmm, a bit silly for my tastes. I know what you mean, I also only started to watch it because of her and then the first 2 or even 3 episodes dissappointed me :-( but I kept wachting it bec...

Hmm, I'm not sure that I can hack yet another series (watchd Meteor Garden, the HYD anime, and HYD LA) whose plot and characters are basically the same... perhaps it is that which makes me get more annoyed at the massive, bizzare plot holes and stupid behaviour. That and I find that my tolerance of ...

You should go to a "wet" market, it's something you don't see in most developed countries, then go to a steak place after. Err, or not, if you are sqeamish or have a delicate stomach!

It is very safe generally, though like any city it has its dodgy areas.
