Well, I think that it makes sense for the first episode to be quite XiuMei-centric since they are in Shanghai and have to introduce her situation. I feel that if the writers toned down her appearances in the opening episode, it would feel too rushed, wouldn't it? I feel that the opening episode work...

Rather than my list changing, it's grown... So, now, here we go: 1. Takeuchi Yuko 2. Fukatsu Eri 3. Nakama Yukie 4. Tokiwa Takako 5. Ueno Juri HM: Matsu Takako I'll usually watch anything with Takeuchi Yuko and/or Fukatsu Eri in it, but I'll often need "something more" (like interesting plot, co-act...

I agree with the idea that Takeuchi Yuko & Kimura Takuya's first kiss in PRIDE is possibly one of the more passionate on-screen kisses I've seen in a JDrama... And what I love about it is that there are more emotions present than the simple "I want to kiss you"-type. You can easily see and feel the ...

Well...this may not be exactly what you're looking for, but... Nemureru Mori // A Sleeping Forest has its final climax take place on Christmas Eve. The actual episode aired on Dec. 24, so they make use of that and have everything in the preceding episodes spiral closer and closer to "that day"--Chri...

I must say that even though I do not absolutely adore this drama, I do find it very amusing/entertaining to watch. It's nice to just sit down and enjoy, even if there are little things here and there. I'm definitely going to give it a chance. For some reason, I have this inkling that, perhaps, somew...

Oh, I loved Byakuyakou!

I know that many people recommended it already, but I truly enjoyed Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi // One Hundred Million Stars Falling from the Sky!!
<3
It's one of my favorite dark dramas! (In my personal opinion, I liked it better than Nemureru Mori...)

I'd have to say . . . Kimura Takuya in CHANGE (episodes 7 and 10) In 10, it was incredible, in 7 it was just heart breaking..

Also, his crying scene in Pride is also noteworthy, I feel.... :-)

Karei-naru Ichizoku is an amazing (yet quite sad) drama. You wouldn't expect it.

Can we still vote? If so:

1. Pride
2. Karei-naru Ichizoku
3. HERO

Huh--looking at it now, they're all Kimura Takuya's dramas . . . . . . .

Ah, for a nice Yuko Takuchi drama, "Pride" is a well-done one. It's one of my favorite dramas of hers. (In that one the male lead is a different SMAP member--Kimura). It's written by the same screenwriter as "Bara no nai Hanaya" and "Hitotsu yane no Shita" I think. I'm really excited about this dram...

Yuko Takeuchi and Kimura Takuya in Pride, first and foremost. They had amazing chemistry in that series. It's hard to set aside.

Next would definitely be Nakama Yukie and Abe Hiroshi together in Trick.

Hm, for a Japanese historical drama "Shinsengumi" is a well done one.
I'm watching it at the moment. It's quite long, I feel I should mention.

1. Karei-naru Ichizoku
2. Pride
3. Hito ni Yasashiku

((At the moment, that's my unsteady ranking. "Number 3" on my list changes all the time, it seems.))

Hmm, me? My first was Trick. . . .

I saw one of the movies by accident on a plane ride back from Japan a couple months ago, and since then, I've just wanted to expand my horizons as far as I can reach 'em! :D

Oi, I absolutely love this actor. I went on a trip to Japan in November, and on the plane ride back they were showing the Trick 2 movie--which is how I got interested in Trick . . . then Hiroshi Abe and now the vast universe of japanese dramas! (A nice little chain reaction, no?--Though I hope to ev...
