I never even had 5. My favorites right now (no particular order)

松たか子 (Matsu Takako)
内山理名 (Uchiyama Rina)
加藤夏希 (Katou Natsuki)
And if it counts since she's in Nana now:
中島美嘉 (Nakashima Mika)
Though I mostly like her for her music.

Thanks. :) I honestly haven't been to many places in Japan, so I don't know how much I would like/dislike them. I've only been to Kobe, Kyoto and a few outlying areas. I do like the more rural/suburban areas around Kobe, though. Not only could I probably not afford anything in a major city, but I've...

Well, you guys have encouraged me. Thanks for that. As of now, my Japanese isn't bad for 2yrs of self-study, but it's no where near good enough. But I'm not planning on looking for a job right now. A more immediate goal is to work on my Japanese, and take the JLPT. Anyway, thanks for the honest repl...

So I take it an Associates is pretty worthless, huh? That sucks. And I was looking into translation work. If it's possible, I might try to find some work over here w/ a translation company for some experience, and at least try to get a Class 2 on the JLPT. Think that would make you interesting enoug...

lol No, I don't plan on comitting fraud or working illegally. I do have an Associate's degree if that helps at all. I just don't think I have the time/ money to go at least another 3 yrs for a BA. I was under the impression that you needed a Bachelors to apply for a work visa on your own, but not ne...

What are the posibilities of finding a job that will sponsor you for a visa? I don't have a bachelor's degree, and probably never will, but I'd like to spend at least a year in Japan. Is it even a possibility? I've been studying Japanese for 2yrs, but I'd like to get at least a level 2 JLPT cert bef...

I watched a few a while ago when it was on the I-Channel... Kinda lost interest, mostly because I wasn't far enough along in my Japanese to understand much of anything... But I love Uchiyama Rina... I gotta find this dorama somewhere when it comes out. :D

I just got back from Japan yesterday. 'Nana' was showing in the theater across from my hotel, but I didn't have the chance to go see it! :( I don't know anything about the manga (other than someone told me it's for girls), but I've been a fan of Nakashima Mika for awhile. I picked up a bunch of her ...

I gotta say that I like Rina Uchiyama, but I don't really have a favorite... I find so many Japanese girls attractive... not even like 'Idols' or whatever... I think there are a lot of cute girls in the audience of Heyx3, on the news, and stuff like that. Heheh.

For those who speak Vietnamese, what's 'fai' or 'phai' mean? (I have no idea how to spell it, so I'm just going the phonetic route)
I hear it a lot on some tv shows I flip to on the I-Channel. I figured it means 'yes,' but who knows? Well, hopefully you guys do. :D

Eh. I'm not a big fan of hip-hop in general... The only artists I really listen to are The Brilliant Green, Asian Kung-Fu Generation and Nakashima Mika... I see the other stuff on TV, but I don't listen to it.

Languages that you know tend not to sound as good. Japanese sounded a lot cooler to me before I understood most of it. Now, Chinese sounds really good to me, but I dunno if that'll be the same after I understand it. I know Japanese, but I still like the way it sounds. Mostly when women speak it, th...

I've got this Japanese workbook where the explanations are in Japanese, English and Chinese... I only notice a few similarites between Japanese and Chinese... Then there's the whole pronunciation thing. I'm sure you could do it, but I kinda doubt knowing Japanese first would make it all that easy...

Been studying Japanese for about a year now. I get maybe 50% of the conversations when I watch un-subbed JDoramas. It's too easy to get distracted, zone out and just stare at the pretty ladies, though. But if I put the effort into it, I can understand a lot. I can read Japanese way better than compr...

Honestly, I don't know too many. But of the ones I do know, my favorite is definately Matsu Takako.

Boku no sukina Nihonjin no joyuu wa Matsu Takako desu. Kanojo no dorama wa itsumo omoshiroi. Shoshite totemo kirei desu ne.

Sorry for butchering the language. ;)
