Yeah, it was soft subbed by a group called Null. Their subs aren't the best but you can understand what they're saying. It was on FSC for a while... but I'm pretty sure I saw it on torrent on Mininova.

So if any of you have a Japanese phone in the US, I hear there are problems receiving MMS since they use an email system for messages instead of MMS in Japan. I guess the only way to fix this is to put Euro firmware on there instead or a hybrid mix of Euro and Japanese firmware. Or possibly get Chin...

Nya is currently working on the project according to their site. There is no such thing as a definite date on when ANY fansubs will be released. The best answer is that it will be posted when it is done. Also, you should keep in mind that Nya does have other fansub projects that they are working on,...

i find this topic funny. i'd agree it is a paradox but does it really matter? it's like wearing a kinda short top but always pulling it down to try to not show too much. that's probably how it is with the whole cleavage thing. it's cute to wear but not cute if it all spills out. that's my take. Don...

You really shouldn't look at just dramas. That's like comparing all American actors to people in US soap operas. Movies are a better gauge to judge from. There are a lot of good and bad acting in movies, that it's much more balanced out. People like Ken Watanabe shows a fairly good dynamic acting ra...

She's probably getting ready to promote Death Note 2 right now. That would be my guess since the movie is coming out in a couple of weeks or so.

I used to think Japanese actors and actresses can not act for the life of them.... then I visited Japan. From my experience in Japan, and meeting the people there, and the way they respond to things, I realize that Japanese actors and actresses actually can act real well. You know how in the dramas,...

does anyone know how far the first movie goes into the manga?
The first movie follows the story up until Light joins L's investigation team.

Well, it's not really a spoiler, since L's real name is never really mentioned in the manga at all. The picture that furransu linked to is only a card that comes with some of the Japanese versions of Volume 13.

Plus, I think Volume 13 is the final volume of the series.

The story looks like it's going to revolve only around the first half of the manga, which is the better half in my opinion. However, I'm wondering how is it going to end, I kinda doubt it'll end like how the first half of the manga ended.

The way the Japanese eat Yakiniku is Korean style. Even though it's called Yakiniku, the English name for the way Japanese people eat it is Korean barbeque. So it's really Korean, we even call it Korean in English, but the word is Japanese. Oh yeah, make sure you wear dirty clothes when you go eat, ...

usually when you type in the hiragana, for the word, it will give you a drop screen to select the kanji that you want the word to be. The phone I was using when I was in Japan allowed you to change from hiragana to katakana and English. So there are 3 different types of writing available on Japanese...
