Re: Comparing Options for Watching Japanese TV from Overseas

Hi. I scanned the compressed file using VirusTotal, Jotti and a few other services. All the "major" anti-virus programs (curiously, AVG too) all seem to think it's clean while 2-3 of the more "minor" anti virus programs (ClamAV, Ikarus etc) flag something suspicious. My guess is that these are fals...

If anyone is interested in BETV option I did a test run of it (Its a free app). ... It doesn't work for me today. is anyone shares the same problem? Mine showing some chinese character with 4120 in it. Yes, BETV is not working anymore. I've tested so called NIJI TV 2 free app for Windows. You can w...

It´s not a Drama for everyone.

But I love it. By far, the most interesting Drama of the season. Interesting characters, dark humor and a good story with interesting plot twists and cliffhangers. Very different from the usual cliched j-dramas.

I had high expectations for this drama... but the first episoded was really bad. Terrible pace... boring story... cliched characters.. pretty disappointing so far. Let´s see if it gets better on the next 1 or 2 episodes, otherwise I´ll give up on it..

Boss was a good drama. Interesting characters and acting.
Aishiteru too. I enjoyed Boss a bit more, because I felt that sometimes, in Aishiteru, the plot dragged a bit.

Atashinchi no danshi and Mr Brain were ok but not memorable..

The rest.. meh..

I tried TVants, but I can't get any of the channels mentioned in your "download & set it up" url to work on my end. Probably the person who was streaming them stopped doing it. Let´s see if he´ll be back soon or if someone else will stream them. Until then... no japanese tv for me. I don´t like Key...

I really dislike that story , it's such a neat concept and idea , I'm not sure how they could make it any more boring then it already is.
Ahhhhh.. great to know I´m not the only one who thinks that way.

Yes.. after TVU stopped broadcasting japanese channels, I´ve turned my attention to TVants. Usually people can find the usual suspects, Fuji, NTV, NHK, TBS.. broadcast quality is not so bad either.

I don´t care about the chinese ads actually. I run TVants on full screen and they´re out.

I was away for 2 weeks.. got back to my pc and I have a few things to report about my tvuplayer: - I feel that the image quality on the japanese channels (specially fujitv and ntv) got a bit worse. I haven´t tried asahi, but TBS definitely seems a bit better than those two. Something to do with the ...

Well.. I enjoyed the movie a lot. But with this drama I couldn´t watch more than episode 2 . One of the weakest jdramas of this season IMHO. Very low tv ratings too.. Began with 13.5.. now it´s around half that... so I guess I´m not the only one to think that way....

Interesting.. but TVUplayer, even with some occasional hiccups, already streams almost all those channels for free. :-)

And probably streaming those channels is illegal anyway, so I would always think twice before paying for such a service..

BTW, these are the reasons why I really like Japanese Girls: 1. They are cute. 2. They like arts. 3. They are devoted. 4. They love to display children items. 5. They are fun-loving. 6. They are hard-working. (I hope that they have time for love.) 7. They are cheerful. 8. They are unique. (their me...
