ueto aya is a cute looking girl, but she exploits that facet of her too much. She doesn't know how to play the non-cute looking girl. This makes her acting very one-sided. She is the modern day burikko, your matsuda seiko (but of course, not as cute)

Civilized Kdrama Bashing Thread

Yes, it's a bashing thread. If you are a Kdrama fan and can't handle some flame, please stop reading immediately. Thank you. Please refrain from using vulgar language here. Kdramas are to be avoided: 1) Same old formula for virtually every single drama (ie. little town girl being noticed by some wea...

I wouldn't say that he's the worst actor, as long as you have the likes of Yamashita Tomohisa and Takenouchi Yutaka. It's nice though to be listening to the opinions of others.

His acting was never good to start with (check Shota no Sushi), so I am not surprised that he's been relegated to second-tier roles. I don't know how he even got his leading roles to begin with.

[poll] Most overrated/underated & promising young talents

Overrated: Ueto Aya (no offense to her fans, but her acting is sometimes as wild as Morning Musume, and sometimes as stiff as Keanu Reeves) She has a cute face but sometimes I find it a chore to go through her dramas such as "Attention Please". Underrated: Nishikido Ryo I think they defini...

Which one single performance by one single actor/actress was to you, the most memorable/impressive performance? There are quite a few good actors in jdrama, but the most memorable one for me is Yuusuke Santamaria's portrayal of "haru" in アルジャーノンに花束を (Flowers for Algernon). Haru, who is men...
