Ep. 2 was pretty decent. Masamune is kind of an ass for leaving Koharu all alone so many times but after getting scolded by everyone, I think he kind of gets the point. The next ep. is good. It's one of the main plotlines for the first volume of the manga. Masamune's mom is understandably outraged, ...

In the manga, he is wishy-washy and loser-like, but he's even moreso in the drama. It seems to be in the same vein as "Shiroi Haru" and "Boku to Kanojo to Kanojo no Ikiru Michi," with the whole "learning to become a dad" angle, although there does seem to be "Jun Ai" elements to it. I'm watching it for at least the first few eps.

I really like the pace and direction of the drama. They're setting up the Riko x Naoki pairing up fairly early, or at least building to it. My Thoughts on Ep 3 and series so far

The show just keeps on getting better and better. About the parents' "unrealistic" "flip flop" on Miki's decision. People, they haven't even shown that part yet! 1) Miki's parents are under the impression that "well, kids are kids and will do stupid things. Let's just sweep this under the rug and ab...

I think the female teacher and the doctor are going to be kind of "support" characters form Miki. I think at least one of her best friends will turn on her, probably that girl she fought with will get close to her, and from previews of the next ep, it looks like the brother will start giving her $#!...

While she may know that, most 14 year olds (at least from my observation) are of the mindset, "it won't happen to me." I do feel sorry for her, but of course she brought it upon herself and is now paying for her actions. Her parents' reactions sort of mirror my own - "this is so horrible, i'm so sor...

Ep 2 was another great one. Everyone's reaction was pretty realistic. You could feel the tension, rage, and sadness all at once when she tells her parents she's pregnant. The dad's reaction was special, and the mom's was so sad. I kind of saw the slap coming, though. It's almost expected, same with ...

I watched the 1st ep again, and I like how it starts off all pretty and idyllic, complete with cute dogs, blue skies, and kids sitting in a tree house under the moonlight... and then reality hits hard! :w00t: The 2nd half is a complete 180, filled with angst, anxiety, and ultimately sadness. The las...

I absolutely love this drama already. Shida Mirai did an excellent job. The ending was really powerful. It was very sad. I can't wait to see what happens next.

What's hilarious is that she has a bit part in the hit movie Shinobi but as luck would have it.. HER CHARACTER DIES THERE, TOO! Don't quote me on it, cuz I haven't seen it, but I don't think she dies in the film Pacchigi, which was actually her first starring role in anything. Has anyone seen it? It...

I don't think there will be another one. I don't think it really mattesr that it didn't end definitvely.

On the other hand, the Densha-related stuff isn't completely over:

Mina anime series coming in January!

Taiyou no Uta just scored #1 for the week for the 2nd time! This song has some definite staying power. http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/js/w/ And #2 is Yui's new single "I Remember You," which, if you look at the PV, is kind of a homage to TNU the movie and Kaoru Amane the character (whom she played in ...

That's the 2nd SP we've been talking about - Densha Otoko Deluxe - The Last Crusade.

As far as I know, this is the end-all for the series.

I thought this would be an overkill fluff piece, but they really took their time in writing a good story with the Deluxe SP. They also didn't cut any corners on the budget. It was kind of a trip down memory lane and a cap on the whole Densha phenomena, from the net story, to the books, to the movie,...

The ending was okay, but I think this is one of the few series that requires a special to tie up loose ends. While we may have a good idea of what happened or what will happen.

Overall, a well written drama and very funny.

It's all over! :lol

I actually had a feeling this could have turned out sad or even worse, ambiguously without any resolution. In the end, though, the writers gave us what we wanted to see in the end. It was nothing groundbreaking but it was fun to watch.

I agree with Shirashi Miho. She's good. Some others: Kuninaka Ryoko - (Michiru in Kekkon Dekinai Otoko). She kinda has the same vibe as Misaki itoh. Cute, close to 30, and has this kind of funny, goofy personality. Nishikido Ryo (1 Litre of Tears, Attention Please) - At least he's stepping out of sc...

#1 Song in Japan this week is...

Kaoru Amane - Taiyou no Uta

Amazing, it beat out everything even though it's in its 2nd week. They'll probably use this bit in the last episode.. that she scores a #1 hit
before she dies
