First of all, just so you're prepared, there is no movie that will really satisfy the craving you got after "My Sassy Girl". Once you get over that fact, check out some of the following titles. They're the ones I watched after my first exposure to MSG (besides the two mentioned above, which are not ...

I finished watching it two days ago and had to let it sink in a bit. If you've seen Long Vacation and Orange Days, you'll be right at home with the style of writing. Very natural and character driven - you never really feel like you're watching a predetermined plot unfold (ok you do maybe a little b...

If you looking for something in the same vein as "Good Luck!" you're probably gonna be fine with "Pride" and "Engine". Otherwise definitely seek out "Long Vacation", it's one of the best dramas ever.

Yes, Five Spies is eligible... I'll add it to the list now. :) ...and no, I won't force you to volunteer as a seeder if you inform me (although it would be nice :whistling:)... I don't have Five Spies so unfortunately I can't volunteer for that one - I nominated it because I'd like to see it someti...

I only started watching it yesterday since I had to finish Double Kitchen first. So far I've seen the first two episodes and really liked them a lot. I'll be finished later this week and will cast my vote as well as post here again, but at this point I'd say it's definitely worth watching.

I voted for Oishii Kankei and... If anybody else finds completed dramas subbed in english that are missing from the list, please let me know so that it can be added! ...I wonder if Five Spies is eligible for this? If it is, I'd like to nominate it, or rather get it onto the JSOTW list first to see i...

Wow, this is just awesome. I was hoping to see "Over Time" one day, and now that day is really really close- thanks to you. Tamura Masakazu is a fantastic actor, so I'm really excited about "Souri to yobanai de" as well. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I've always loved asian movies, ever since I saw Yojimbo as a kid. In the late eighties I saw A Chinese Ghost Story and started hunting for all the HK New Wave movies I could get my hands on. In the early nineties i collected all the Viz mangas (and Dark Horse's Outlanders - god I loved this one) an...

Hollywood should consider "Please Teach Me English". Of course it should be called "Please Teach Me Korean" and in it Jun Ji-Hyun would teach Korean to Keira Knightley (made up to look nerdy with glasses) and Josh Hartnett. At least half of the movie should feature Knightley and Hartnett awkwardly s...

If done right, a drama set in a maid cafe could actually be a great show. This one at least gets points for being the first to try, but quality wise it's nowhere near a real drama. Still, if you can overlook it's many flaws, it's good for a few laughs (at barely 90 mins. it's also very short) but th...

I actually have never heard of A Hot Roof. Synopsis? Genre? http://www.hrw.org/iff-97/filmko/lee.html Gives a general idea about the plot without spoiling too much. This movie made me aware of Korean cinema, I think the next one i saw after that was 301,302 that's great too by the way and also dese...

My top 10, no particular order: - My Sassy Girl (how original, but hey - great movie - deserves the top spot) - A Hot Roof (first K-movie i ever saw & still one of the best, wish there was a dvd, i wish i wish) - Someone Special (this one deserves to be more popular) - JSA - Sympathy for Mr. Vengean...
