None of the japanese movies I own on DVD have japanese subtitles, but I know that the DVDs for "tiger and dragon" have japanese subtitles, so you never know. Probably pretty hit-and-miss. I doubt anybody is going to take the time to subtitle a drama in Japanese text though, it would be a huge pain.

If you're interested in open source and liscensing issues, you could try to use kochi-substitute, unless you have a good reason not to. I get headaches if I read other fonts for too long. (like the mika-chan font)

Woa, that's weird. Yet cool as hell. Finally somebody with a stranger background than me. I'm half korean, half black, born in Seoul Korea lived there until I was 4, then moved to the US. dont speak korean, barely pass at english, and speak japanese.
