Ah, thanks for clarifying. I really like the summary of past SOTM in the Wuxia thread. From that list, it looks like about a year before we can seed a new series. I'll recommend seeding the series again in a few months. I figure as long as there are enough seeders and most importantly, interest, it ...

I was gone for a couple of months and am trying to catch up. Does any1 know where the other KSOTM threads are? I can't seem to find it. If it's not too early, I nominate / will help seed Boys Over Flowers for Aug 09. EDIT: Oops, I found another thread mentioning there has been no KSOTM since Feb 09.

I'm only on eps 16, but the story of the 3 Musketeers (Hong Fu Nu) is sooo familiar. Does anyone know if this is a remake of an older series? If so, where can I find INFO on the older version?

Thanks,

Good Series

I just finished watching this series. Overall, it was very good. Jin Yong stories are always excellent. For those unfamiliar, he uses the WuXia genre to help convey his political ideals (w/ historical context set in that era). This particular series was definitely more historically / politically inv...

IODATA Avel Linkplayer2

I have a fully integrated home network system, so I bought IODATA's Avel Linkplayer, which supports .srt files. It's a fully integrated network DVD player. I play DivX files directly from my computer, connected to the player via ethernet. Since it decodes DiVX directly on the DVD player, it barely u...

I just finished d/l A Step Into The Past. However, I just noticed that Episode 31 is only 155MB, about half the size and length (23:06) of the other episodes.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is this an error? I haven't watched that far yet.

Back in the 80s, my family was spending $hundreds renting cdrama videos. It was so addicting and we often stayed up till 2am watching. It was tough, but I was able to maintain my A avgs, mostly because we controlled the video rentals during weekdays. However, I don't think that would be possible tod...

I am a hardcore anime d/er and stumbled across The Live Action version of The Condor Heroes. Up to then, I've been unsuccessful in finding sites, despite watching Cdramas since the 80s. Well, the first episode of Full House (kdrama) aired last night in the Bay Area (in Mandarin), and I decided to gi...

My first drama that gotted me started was Legend of the Condor Heroes (Golden Edition) back in the 80s! The most recent remake from China is The Legend of the Arching Hero released in 2004 (quite a good remake). That led to the various sequels in the novels, including The Return of the Condor Heroes...

Arching Hero

This series is really good, probably one of the best Jin-Yong's remakes out today. I grew up watching chinese wuxia back in the early 80s. Probably the smartest thing my parents did to make me interested in our chinese culture. Watching tons of trashy remakes over the last 2 decades (we're tough cri...

Bichunmoo

I agree My Sassy Girl was really good, but I'm so surprised none of you wuxia fans mentioned::

Bichunmoo

That's one of my all-time favorites, and got me into K-movies. I think it's much better than Musa.
