Shigeru should really take a break from manga for awhile!@_@ Does he never think of taking a vacation with his family??? XD Seem like all Shigeru scenes lately are drawing manga bakkari! I fear this is the harsh reality of a mangaka life even today... The only time they take a break is when they fa...

18th Week was so touching  I was in tears a few time, although I tried to hold it back XD I cried too (and didn't even try to hold it back) How Shigeru couldn't accompany Fumie in the hospital when she was in labour, her little sister cannot accept that, but Fumie totally understand and ...

Loved the 16th week!!^o^ Very touching!*v* So true ! We've been "knowing" the character's for 4 monthes now, so I think the feelings we have at witnessing their long-awaited improvement of their financial situation are really deep. That's different from any other drama when the heroin finally ends...

OK, am I the only one shocked by the message delivered by this drama ? That private justice can overwhelm public justice ? (I say private and not "personnal", the problem of personnal justice is, I think, different, and maybe easier to forgive) "The system failed so I will be the police, the judge a...

Re: [Discussion] Gegege no Nyobo (Matsushita Nao, Mukai Osam

Strange? You judged that from Bocho? He was quite normal in Bocho, I think. Only Shigeru is the "strange" character he ever played, imo. I think I expressed myself poorly. What I meant is that with such a face of his, we would expect him to be offered more... romantically-traditionnal-tenebrous (?)...

XM calls him a bastard in my opinion not only because he has acted as one since they met but to create some emotional distance between them. [...] Plus, being called a bastard by someone you care for who wouldn’t usually use such harsh terms, never sits well, which I’m sure was part of her reason f...

Re: [Discussion] Gegege no Nyobo (Matsushita Nao, Mukai Osam

After watching 60 episodes and heard of the 20% rating success of this drama, I think this drama deserves a thread :-) Yes it does ! I think asadoras are underrated in the foreigners' community aren't they ? Well, as far as I'm concerned, it's the first time I'm so much interested in one : they are...

I'm so upset they skip next week, the tension was so high in this episode ! In fact, at the begining, I thought they were meddling too much of "business related things" with this drama, which was supposed to be a love story but now... I really became interested in Regolith. I want to know what will ...

Can I ask you something? I read the synopsis for that said drama, and it said one of the three boys died. His name is Junichiro? Is he the male character that fell in love with the hero? And one more thing, did the lead girl (is it Narumi or Saeki?) end up with the hero or the 2nd hero? LOL. I'm ha...

Well, among Kitagawa's previous works, I've only seen Long Vacation, Beautiful Life, and Over Time. A few people say this drama is similar to Orange Days and...maybe Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi, and I have yet to watch those two. Therefore I'm not really sure what to expect. Hahaha... I'd rathe...

I personally still have faith ! I'm still hoping that the golden rule of japanese love stories will apply, I mean, the rule that says "the couple who kisses too early in the drama won't last until the end of the drama". If you look at the classic pattern of a japanese love story, it can't be easy, a...

I wonder if it's gonna be different if a more reputable actress plays the character? I wonder if Xiumei can be more likeable if a highly talented actress plays the role? Because right now, I'm not sure whether I should blame Chiling or the writer for Xiumei's portrayal... XD Or maybe it's a plus-mi...

He thought Rensuke is the guy that would do anything to achieve what he wants, including selling Xiu Mei to that American businessman. But Kazami is wrong here. Rensuke probably only agreed to bring Xiu Mei there to attract the guy but not to the extent that it happened. His frustration with the gu...

Speaking about where they sit, in ep1, in the riverside restaurant, Rensuke chosed to sit next to Maemi first, then came to XiuMei coz of "amenbo". Maybe it's just because they are friends while he's not close with XiuMei, but i love that fact :D .... Yes, I noticed it too : there is a proverb that...

With other people incl. Xiu Mei, Rensuke gives order, like "Mattero!". But with Maemi he uses words like, "itte kurenai?", "tanomi ga arun dakedo...". It's really a big difference of words use, and I think we can see how Rensuke respect Maemi from that. I pretty agree with almost all your opinions ...
