I know this sounds weird, but there should be a place for this discussion thread that is outside of d-addicts.com. If all of d-addicts is eventually taken down, this thread disappears too. Is there are IRC channel or some other place where people can continue this discussion (in case this site goes ...

Some comments: RATIOS: I don't like ratios for D-addicts. Ratios are always hard to fulfill and there are very few uploaders for D-addicts. I think even without ratios the D-addicts community was very helpful. REGISTRATION Yes. Registration. Should be required. The torrents section should not be pub...

Tsukushi and Doumyoji at the very end of the 2nd season of Hana Yori Dango. Now THAT was a kiss. Tsukushi made the big bad tough Doumyoji-san look like a shy little boy. Also, they way the kiss was done, you just know it would probably never happen in real life (at least not in Japan), which made it...

Why did jdrama.cc shut down?
Does anyone know why http://jdrama.cc decided to close their site?
It was the only site out there that recorded captions for nearly all J-dramas shows currently airing on TV.
Willl there be any other sites like it?
I already knows about the dramanotes site.
Thanks.

I'm only at the 3rd episode. Just wanted to know if anyone else noticed that Aibu Saki (i.e. Izawa Riiko) looks SO MUCH like Ueno Juri with that Nodame hairstyle that they could be twins. The same thing can be said for Mizushima Hiro(Soshi), whose curly hair makes him look EXACTLY like Matsumoto Jun...

Japanese Dialects on TV
I'm really liking how there are healthy doses of Fukuoka-ben in "Bambino". It's really the first drama I've seen where a local dialect is being used extensively as opposed to being used for comic relief. I would like to see more dramas do this. Anyway, I was wondering if there are local TV...

Hmm...... I wonder if it would be enough to use the scripts at http://dramanote.seesaa.net/ to create Japanese subtitles. The timing isn't there, but I guess that'd be the work of the subtitling group. Even better, the script has notes for characters expression or to tell what's going on at the time...

I know that they like to try to be faithful to the manga. But I think the producers of the show should have tried to make some plot up on their own, since there isn't much to work with. Another option, could've been to make the drama shorter(maybe 15-20 minutes) instead of 36. To me, Ep 6 wasn't tha...

Actually, you havne't finished IWGP yet. There's the 90-minute special that takes place after the series. IMHO, it's the real ending to the series... :-) There's nothing quite like IWGP. It's the best drama I've ever seen IMHO. So don't expect dramas to get any better. In terms of serious, I loved S...

Does anyone know what is the violin that Mine plays in the drama? Since Yamaha, owns Japan, I'm guessing it's a Yamaha electric violin. Either an SV or or EV. Can anyone pinpoint the exact make and model that he's using? I'd like to buy one :-) Maybe you can tell by looking at it. I've tried, but I ...

Hmmm
http://shopati.ca/product.asp?sku=2407447
So it says that you can watch TV with closed captioning with these cards.
And it says that there are versions for japan.....
I wonder if these can save the captions to a text file.

Japanese Closed Captioning (Jimaku Housou)
These days most Japanese shows have closed captioning. You'll often see it with "Hi-Vision" or "BS-Hi" or simply "Jimaku Housou" in the upper right at the start of the show. If this is the case, why don't groups post RAWS with Japanese subtitles. As someone who loves to...

I think I might have a somewhat unique view on this topic. I've never liked the idea of race. I think it's now an overextension of the racist ideas that helped lead to things like slavery and segregration. To me, it feels old and I hope this kind of thinking fades away in the future in America. For ...
