Not strange at all. I was in a similar situation - Tamaki was always on the back of my drama-watching radar, but it wasn't until Nodame Cantabile (and I was pretty late to it) that it exploded into full-on love within the first five minutes. Then in his first couple of scenes with Ueno Juri, I was ...

I really like the song Ken Hirai wrote for Jin "Itoshiki Hibi Yo". Though I don't completely understand the lyrics, from the fuzziness of my understanding it feels very fitting for the drama. I just hope someone will translate the lyrics.

This sounds awesome. But i have heard/read: that Saki marries another man in the manga? Unless he dies or something... I'd much rather believe what you say though, lol. It's his Edo self. Jin Tachibana. http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/7748/221gi.jpg Here's a few manga scans In vol 9, I think the...

I finally watched the smaller version of the 2 on here I downloaded and I see all kind of blocks/pixelation. I wonder if I'm missing codec or it's the file. If you talk about going through thick and thin. Miki has gone through the same with Jin in the modern times. I think they've been dat...

I think the ending for the drama might have to be a bit different because I think I read somewhere Miki was not in the manga, only Nokaze was. Not to mention... If Miki was the love interest in the drama, it might not be the case that Jin ends up with Saki since he loves Miki so much. And if Edo Ji...

I googled up the raws. (Don't know if I should put the lin...

I've been waiting for season 2. I got in last season kind of late and I can't recall how I got into it to begin. I totally didn't like Ayase prior to viewing but I grew to love her character in Jin and found she and Osawa have great chemistry. I don't know why they even try to be so mysterious about...

It is only natural that people's enthusiasm gets in their way and they overlook certain imperfections of their object of affection however that is not to say in the back of their mind they're not aware that their object of affection is imperfect. But then again it's also natural for some people to s...

I thought it is too early to decide on THE drama for Ms. Ueno because she is likely to star in many more dramas to come. I'm inclined to believe that NC is the drama for Juri. I understand that she has a lot of room for growth and she still has a long way to go but it's just this feeling that I hav...

Okay, I didn't know what Japanophile is so I looked it up. From dictionary.com: A Japanophile, or alternatively a Nipponophile, is a non-Japanese person with a strong interest in one or more aspects of Japan or Japanese culture. The word is always used in a derogatory manner to denote a person with ...

I find that Tamaki has an amazing ability to transform himself into different characters convincingly. The way he carries himself for each character together with the change of appearance can create a totally different character. To me he's the first actor that I think can pull this off very well.

Seriously, this repetitive need of bashing Korea is something very omnipresent, and VERY disturbing among JDrama fans -- guess what, the KDrama community is a lot more tolerant and does NOT feel the need to bash JDramas in every single thread there is. Sorry, I don't see the point - especially not ...

I thought I saw a lower (18 some) rating from another site. Anyways, I didn't read but I skimmed through vol 4. Ep 5 covered up to about half (or so) of vol 4.

I think the cast is really great, especially Nodame, Chiaki, Masumi and Mine. I can't imagine who can play Nodame better than Ueno Juri nor can I picture any other actor who's more perfect as Chiaki as Hiroshi Tamaki. (Hiroshi could change his image from a naive and tame next door guy in one drama t...

I actually did stop by a barnes and noble bookstore over the weekend to take a look at the manga. I guess I've been pampered by the wonderful eye candies of the dramas' great casts, I didn't think the art looks very good. However if the drama can't cover the whole story, of course I'll run out and g...

It's "Baka, kore wa orei dakara na" which means "Silly, that's just for gratitude" or "due to gratitude" or "because of gratitude". Something like that.
