TV Capturing From Tokyo

I'm currently living outside Tokyo, and I'm looking for someone who can help me to record Japanese TV broadcast from Tokyo. What I'm looking for is a person who is willing to provide a space in Tokyo that is connectable to the Internet and a TV antenna, and where it is possible to place a small note...

Otaku users use the PT2 PCI card with a desktop machine. PT2 has two terrestrial tuners and two satellites tuners, and it can record up to 4 shows at the same time. Its set price is 16,800 yen, but, currently, it is a little hard to obtain, and it is sold over 30,000 yen. There is a USB single terre...

Hello~ :roll As there seems to be some Japanese TV TS files out there, and as I assume that some people are interested in handling and editing those Japanese TV TS files, I will put up here what a little I know. This was written at 2010.11.29. @ Japanese TV TS Files @ A Japanese TV TS file has as it...

Addition. (The sub files are attached these posts. But it seems that the attached files are only viewable to logged-in members in this section of the forum.) If anyone intends to take up the work of synching and publishing the subs, please drop me a private massage stating an email address so that I...

Hello, :roll Thank you for letting me know the koohii forum and subs2srs. As I took a glance at them, they looked very interesting and wonderful. When I cut the times for CMs manually, I use the shift time command of Aegisub. Fisrt, seek a hiatus of subs, for if there is a CM, usually subs don't exi...

Or I might have found another solution. There should be a font or language setting in VLC that you can change from preferences or options. And there, choose a font that is related to anything Japanese or Unicode, and you might be able to show the subs properly. I had a similar problem playing Korean...

Hello, :roll I changed it to UTF8, but those squares still persist. All the problems I have encountered up until now have been solved by changing the text encoding to UTF-8. I use OSX Leopard. To be sure, it might be worth a try to make a new text document in UTF-8, and copy and paste the material i...

Hello~ :roll When playing Japanese subs or Chinese subs in VLC Player, changing the text encoding from UTF-16 to UTF-8 sometimes helps. To change the text encoding, open the sub in a text editor such as "TextWrangler", and you can change it from there. In the case of TextWrangler, the text encoding ...

Hello, 8) As I understand, you can't manipulate the .tve files in any way. I think, those files are only viewable on that PC, and if you bought another PC, you wouldn't be able to watch them on that PC. If you want to obtain freely editable files, you need to record in .ts format, which is an unprot...

Learning another language through watching videos with subs is an intresting topic for me. :roll I learned at least some of my English by watching TV dramas and movies with English subs. Especially, as it was really hard for me a Japanese to recognize some of the pronunciations of the English langua...
