I'm getting the vibe that with all the enthusiasm and the opportunities to implement a more secure system this initially shocking turn of events might well turn into a very good thing for the longer term future of sharing asian TV. Looking forward to follow progress (and have 4TB to add to sharing p...

I think it's just awesome furransu's taken his show on the road to keep the heat off of D-Addicts. Eh, you don't think it's related to those extra clicks that he gets paid for? Anyway, taking a torrent site from a privately run host to a google hosted site seems like a bad idea, how many other torr...

Here's a (referral) link for a VPN service that seems to work OK: http://www.youkuvpn.com/?ad_str=6161. Please use the link if you decide to use.

Yes, works fine on that link. In this case is not .mp4, it's .flv! Thanks for confirming! Edit. Probably not the best way, but for reference I used FLVJoin to link the parts together, then FLV_Extract to remove the streams from the container, then MP4Box to put in an mp4 container. Worked like a dr...

My wishing would be soft subs which I don't believe we usually have (correct me if I'm wrong) - which means choosing between high quality and no subs or lower with.

Durability is certainly something to think about, there is some mention of Hard-Coating here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc - I'm not sure how this compares to DVD durability. To some extent 'eggs in one basket' is also true, but I guess it depends on how important the stuff is to you. D...

Authoring blu-ray disks

I've been looking for a way to archive stuff and blu-ray seems like a good choice given 25GB+ capacities. I'd like to have something which is a playable disk with menus, subtitles etc. (not a data disc) and ideally playable on a PS3. I was wondering if anyone had any experience of authoring blu-ray ...

Heavy users are the target of these measures, and if you're wondering what a 'heavy user' is in Japanese ISP terms take a look at this document : http://www.jaipa.or.jp/other/bandwidth/guidelines.pdf . Check out 資料7 near the end which gives an example of showing users the amount of bandwidth they ar...

Japanese Version of Wife-Swap

I heard there was a Japanese version of the show - anyone know what it's called? (I don't think it's ワイフ スワップ!)

Thanks!

Search amazon or your import store of choice for パンとジェームズおつかい大挑戦 - there are 2 DVDs available. I nearly died laughing watching them cross the stream in the 1st one. Recommended.

So you can... forget about my suggestion, it's pretty redundant as this does the job perfectly well.

On Series of the Week. What would be cool is to have an additional table at the bottom of the page which has a display of all the episodes in the series. The idea being that it's easy to see what is being seeded at any time, so if any episode goes to zero seeds it will be seen and people can try to ...
