It's not exactly like she embarrassed him directly. Ryo has/had a mini fanboy crush on her so when they locked eyes for that moment, he got shy and shrunk down in embarrassment. Man, one of Ryo's cutest moments ever! ->_<-

Ad-lib is kind of like adding in your own lines or jokes; going with the flow and improvising. Used a lot in comedy.
