Fake/broken seeds?
I observed something strange while uploading earlier - a torrent I created myself showed as having 4 seeds after a while, even though I hadn't completed seeding a complete copy yet. Is there something wrong with the tracker (publicbt udp) , or are there BT clients that mistakenly report themselves a...

To give you an idea, when BD first came out, it cost around $50,000 to make a single disc - that's pre-production, authoring, QA, pressing etc. The break even point was around 20,000 discs or so. That's come down quite a lot since then, but there's still a much higher cost associated with creating B...

I'm not sure I'd say they're smarter, but more that since jpopsuki is invite-only, there's less chance of someone being busted, unless they add multiple trackers to a torrent for some reason. If they actually released Blu-Rays of anything, it might actually be a competitive to the original broadcast...

Sorry I didn't see this until now - posted here at first (can a mod merge these two topics?): http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_86970.htm So yeah - it looks like it's ISKVCY.. you can have a look at his posts and see which shows we'll be missing. It's really kind of sad that the Japanese poli...

Man arrested for BitTorrent file sharing in Japan
http://www.examiner.com/x-16352-Japan-Headlines-Examiner~y2010m7d20-Man-arrested-for-BitTorrent-file-sharing-in-Japan?cid=examiner-email I'm wondering - could this be our very own ISKVCY? He posted both Shimura Doubutsuen and Waratte Iitomo, and his last torrent containing Music Japan never got full...

A judge wouldn't be stupid enough to ask that question because 1. it's irrelevant to the merits of your lawsuit against Harvard and 2. you can sue them at any point in time later, if you so choose. And, you cannot be selective on who you want to sue. Of course you can. See my point about suing for d...

I didn't say you lose the copyright. I'm saying you will lose your lawsuit if the court finds that you allowed other parties to infringe on the copyright. That's almost as if you didnt' have the copyright to begin with. Uhh, no you won't lose the lawsuit. That's not how it works. I actually used to...

In the United States, it is required as part of one's copyright agreement with the government. If you receive copyright protection for your work, you've got to enforce it. If you don't, you lose your right to use it in future litigation. This is wrong. You're confusing trademarks vs copyright. Noth...
