Which is best to do to completely rename files names to Japanese or for example write partly of it in Japanese/English like this: (アルバム) Nakajima Miyuki - East Asia.zip In general, the more Japanese you use, the better. People are using the search engine to look for specific files, and if your file...

Share arrests
May 9, 2008, the Kyoto police arrested three men, a 34 year old from Kawasaki, a 41 year old from Tokyo and a 21 year old university student from Hiroshima. All three were accused of recording TV anime produced by Sunrise (in two cases Gundam) and uploading them to Share soon after they were broadca...

Does it say "Global IP resolved" down at the bottom? If it does, you are connected. Here are a few node sites if you need fresher nodes:SuperVictoria64 wrote:^ Thanks!

Conversion
I've been using share for ages, have no problems downloading, etc, but never had a chance to ask someone else on this -- alot of times, i'll download a file, bigger it is, the more common, and it'll finish, start converting, and find a random block corrupted, so it will check for errors, redownload...

sanjiu, after letting Share run for 5 or 10 minutes, are you getting a Search or Diffuse node? When you click on Show Sleep nodes, how many nodes do you get? Are you sure you are using EX2 nodes with Share EX2 and not NT5 nodes? The two are incompatible. Do you have ドラマ among your five cluster words?

Toyotaku, glad you found my tutorial helpful. I haven't experienced the disconnect issue, but you are right that it is does sound like something related to sanjiu's and your firewall/router. Share is a bit sensitive to firewall issues, so much so that I have to disconnect from the internet, and shut...

Episode 10
I was talking with a Japanese friend about this series, and she said two things. One that like all Nojima's dramas it was くらああい (daaaark!). And also that it was one of the most absorbing dramas in recent memory. This episode lives up to both. Some of Nojima's dramas (e.g. Subarashiki kana jinsei) ha...

Episode 9
After the startling revelation of episode 7 and the hints of a darker twist in 8, things settle down quite a bit this time out. Master advises Eiji to tell Mio how much he loves her. Eiji buys the bouquet of flowers, but as in many a Jdrama, he can't get up the nerve to tell her. This seems even mor...

Episode 8
After the somewhat startling revelation at the end of episode 7, the tension this time stems from more or less natural consequences of Eiji being homeless and the news that he is not Shizuku's father spreading. There is this ominous tension in the air, after Mio asks Eiji to move in with her, but in...

Where to post Share or WinMX hashes for J-dramas
As you may know, the RAWs for new J-dramas tend to appear on Share and the Japanese OpenNap servers before they reach BitTorrent. WinMX also has a lot of older J-drama RAWs that aren't available on BitTorrent. I was just wondering if it would be OK to start threads somewhere here to post hashes for ...

Twists and turns
I just can't wait for episode 8. This is one of the most absorbing dramas I've seen in quite a while. Yuko Takeuchi has improved a lot as an actress, and Shingo Katori gets a nice meaty role to sink his teeth into. But more than anything it is the story. They'd promised some twists and turns at the ...

Which P2P applications do you use regularly?
Just wanted to ask what P2P applications people use. Please note that BitTorrent refers to the original small application. BitComet, utorrent and Azureus all use the BitTorrent protocol, but if you use one of them, vote for it. If you select Other, please post to tell us which one, and why you like ...

Getting Japanese to display in non-unicode programs
I touched on this topic in the second last paragraph of the TutoriaI. In Control Panel - Regional and Language Options, have you extended support for advanced text services to all programs, and set Japanese as your language for non-Unicode programs? Or have you tried AppLocale?

Viruses and Perfect Dark
As with any software, you should scan it for viruses before installing, and make sure that it is the official version of Share released by 村長. There are reports of course that some naive users in Japan installed infected versions of Winny (and Share?), and paid the price, but if you are careful, you...

Latest version of Share
Share EX2 was released on April 1st, 2006. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "few users left." According to the RIAJ's estimates, there were about 200000 people using Share in 2006, and that jumped to about a half a million in 2007. I'm not sure if the numbers can continue to doub...

Download J-dramas on P2P
8thsin is right. There aren't really any Japanese torrent search engines or trackers which handle J-dramas. I would say WinMX is the most popular P2P client in Japan for J-drama, but OpenNap/Utatane is better for new releases and the more obscure titles. Share has some J-dramas as well. For those in...

[Tutorial] Share (p2p application)
Share is a Japanese peer-to-peer file sharing client and network for Windows based on a similar model to the English Freenet and Japanese Winny. Share is especially good for getting the latest Jdramas in RAW form, as they seem to be released here before BitTorrent, and the downloads are usually quit...

[Tutorial] WinMX
Perhaps there are not too many fansubs on WinMX, but it is an excellent source for the latest raws. WinMX has everything from the latest episodes of Bara no nai Hanaya 薔薇のない花屋, Galileo ガリレオ and Abarembou Mama 暴れん坊ママ all the way back to old classics like Haru Ranman 春ランマン. It is also probably one of ...

[Tutorial] OpenNap and Utatane
Regular members here have probably noticed doink-chan, Ladymercury or shou talking about how they have downloaded a new or rare drama from OpenNap using Utatane, so I thought someone should post a FAQ. OpenNap is basically an updated version of the old Napster protocol. Even the largest OpenNap serv...
