LV was my second drama ever, too. My first was Seikei Bijin. LV holds a very special place in my heart, as cheesy as that sounds. I rewatch it from time to time as well. Whenever I need a great summertime drama, I always watch LV - it makes me feel so nostalgic and carefree. Yamaguchi Tomoko and Kim...

This isn't a bad thing. I believe Americans want healthy and straight teeth (as well as gums) not because it looks good and everything, but it helps you chew your food better, thereby allowing you to digest the food more efficently. Proper alignment of your teeth allows your jaw to properly close t...

Japanese usually don't put as much emphasis on teeth like Americans do, such as here it's like if you don't have perfect teeth you might as well crawl in a hole and die. In Japan, those overlapping teeth are considered really cute and give you character. For example, Hirosue Ryoko has a overlapping ...

Is it subttile in AZN tv? i was thinking about joining awhile go. Yes, the version on aznv.tv is subtitled. For some reason though, sometimes they'll have huge translation notes about some jokes, and the subs will cover the whole screen O_O. But that's the only place I've found the movie, so you ju...

For the Trick SP, awrittensin has released english subs here in the Subtitles forum based off the Korean srts. I just want to clarify that I translated from Japanese to English, not from Korean to English, as some people might misunderstand that. I erased all the Korean from the timing tianj gave m...

I just finish TRICK about a couple of weeks ago, I was wondering if a Season 4 is coming out? I think we all really hope so! I just read an article that quoted Abe Hiroshi saying that he wishes he could continue Trick as long as it's possible. Nakama Yukie also said it was great to work on Trick ag...

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let people know that I'm subbing the Trick special, in case you didn't see that I announced it in the other forum. I have about 10 lines which I am stuck on, and I posted them over in the Fansubbing forum to see if anyone can help me. I've completely translated all the...

But that also means Hikki made 10 million dollars in order to have to be taxed for that much, so I wouldn't pity her too much.

The letter doesn't really say anything too note-worthy. It's basically just saying how she watched the first episode of the drama and how she enjoyed it, etc. Nothing too interesting. :|

Ruroshin, I was wondering how much space you have left for the permanent seeding project? Maybe if you have more space you could consider putting the first season of Glass Mask up (that I fansubbed. and anneyuu uploaded) because I'm always getting swamped with requests to seed for people. Then hopef...

I would like to chime in and say that historical dramas are also probably less popular for fansubbers b/c...well...they all talk weird!!!! I haven't seen any of this particular show, but a lot of period dramas and movies will try to affect some sort of archaic dialect and the vocabulary of the era,...

I noticed those bumps on MatsuJun's face, too. And to clarify what I said earlier about MatsuJun being too small to play Tsukasa, I didn't mean just height, I meant build in general. Regardless of how he is in real life or whatever, on screen, MatsuJun appears to be very tiny and not of a muscular b...

I'm still not convinced with Matsumoto Jun as Tsukasa. He's just so.... little. Although he did do a good job in making his voice be all macho. I was hoping it wouldn't be like he talked in kimi wa petto >_>; I think they cast Makino perfectly - the girl isn't stand-out pretty, kind of plain with th...

I understand that you can never stop people who sell fansubs for profit. However, I seriously ran across this website by coincidence, and once more, I want to reiterate the only reason I posted the link here in the first place. I wanted to alert my fellow fansubbers that their work is being s...

The person hasn't emailed me back yet, to answer that question. I just emailed them today, so if they reply at all (which I doubt) there's still time. What I think is hilarious is who the hell is buying these dramas from her paying $6 per DVD?? I mean, that is a lot of money for one DVD. She doesn't...

Selling fansubbed drama for profit

I couldn't find another thread like this, but mods, feel free to merge this if I overlooked another one. I came across someone who is running a "distro" anime and drama service, however, she is charging $6 per DVD. That means she's obviously profitting big time. Not Gingertoys2 magnitude, but she's ...
