Fantasic that your subbing this roronoa! I wish you all the best with this project :D Two beautiful actresses as the leads. I'm really looking foward to your subs.

Anyone interested in other Tabe Mikako-san's dramas I recommend Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi. She had a great part in it. I'm currently seeding it.

thank you for the sub.

minor mistake detected (though i'm not certain 'coz i didn't learn japanese) : at the beginning of the episode, instead of 'partner' shouldn't it be 'parent', refering to the woman on the bridge?

I wonder why subbers like this don't have someone QC? It's very important to learn from your mistakes when you're trying to learn a language, and in these subs there are many. Learn faster and better! Also, then others don't suffer from your mistakes. Here's an example. What if a young lady gets a new job where she has to speak English? Aside from her English obviously being quite poor, what if in a tense moment she calls another lady 'Sir' because she learned this from these subs? This could have serious consequences for her.

It's not the subbers responsibility to teach people english/japanese. If you are unhappy with the subs, maybe you can offer your services as a QC or make your own subs. For myself, I thought the subs were great.

roronoa, thank you for the subs. First episode was good (although the Lady Gaga music was jarring...what was that about!? lol)

roronoa, thank you for the subs.

My main point is if you want to do a good job at subbing (or many other things), why not have some nice people to help with things you can't do perfectly by yourself? This is called a 'team', which is simply a handful of other people who will be fun to talk to about this because you obviously have something in common.

When I see a very interesting story like this, I want to see, as exactly as possible, Honda-san's (the author's) story, not something 'sort of similar' but partly coming from someone's guesses modulated by various language errors. This includes everything Kuroki-san and Tabe-san says and the rest. Unless you are native or fluent in both languages, this requires a 'team'.

Also, concerning being helpful by improving the English for those who use subs to learn, this may not affect you personally, or me personally, or even the subber personally (though I suspect it does), but it does affect a lot of folks. Incidentally I don't require responsibility to try to be helpful to people. But again, bringing the subs to this level requires a 'team'.

So I hope you will consider my message not as some kind of attack on the subber who I acknowledge is sharing his or her efforts as far as they go. And I know you are excited about getting a chance to understand this terrific looking show, just as I am. I'm just presenting some ideas that someone may not have thought about and can consider for future projects or ignore as they please. ^_^

Fair enough. I think it comes down to people having different needs when it comes to subs. I prefer subs that are posted quicker, even if there are mistakes. Others might be using it to learn Japanese. In the end, it is up to the subber who has volunteered their time and effort.

Download issues....

Postby neko-friendly » Fri Aug 26, 2011 6:10 pm

So...for some reason, whenever I download this, it wants to open with AEgisub (which I have) or a text document in notepad. (which has the translations but not the video) And when I try to play it in any player it says it can't read ".srt" files. is there anyway that I can convert it to a not ".srt" file. Or am I just doing something wrong? Help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Thank you so much for subbing this drama!
It's a great mystery drama and Kuroki Meisa is just awesome.
Good luck on future episodes!
