Bus Stop [Eng Subs] (Complete)

Postby ericf » Tue Jun 14, 2011 6:10 pm

12 episodes.

Bus Stop is a romantic fairytale of the unlikely coupling between an ambitious and sophisticated business executive (Iijima Naoko) and a happy-go-lucky bus driver (Uchimura Teruyoshi). Naoko finds her life at cross-roads, as her career unravels after an unsuccessful project results in her demotion from marketing to data management, and her lover-cum-boss (Yanagiba Toshiro) has left her to move to New York. When her life feels like it is at its lowest point, she meets Uchimura, a bus driver whose carefree yet caring approach makes her rethink her life's direction. When Toshiro unexpectedly returns to Tokyo, she finds herself caught between the two totally different men in her life...

These are transcribed subs from the old NGN TV episodes.

They work with these raws:

I have received help from many people with additional translations for dialog not translated by the network and checking of the final script.
Among those are:
If I’ve forgotten anyone, thanks for the help.
I made the translation of the opening theme (Shiro – Pearl) and Mr. Children – Not Found was translated by royal_ken (used with permission).

Hope you enjoy the show.

Thanks a lot for the subs. I downloaded the higher quality raws awhile ago, because you started these.

Bus Stops a great show, and it will be nice being able to watch it with good video and subs.
If you can remain calm while all around you others are panicking... Then you obviously have not adequately assessed the situation.

I have heard good things about this drama. Now it is (soft)subbed too. The more reason I should watch it. Thank you!

Ok, I have no idea how I missed this thread for so long!!

I had been following the subber's comments in the torrent thread, and never realized that the subs had been released. :blink

Thank you so much for this! This was the second J-Dorama I ever watched and the frist that was not a Live Action remake. I was a bit bored one day, and I saw this show with a note that read: Nice Romantic Comedy/Story.

After watching the first episode I was hooked, and this was the show that got me into J-Doramas! As such, I have a special fondness for this show. I'm glad I can rewatch it in nice quality with softsubs!

While I am 9 months late, I am glad to start this evening. :-)

Wow, a drama about a bus driver and a woman above his stature, with an OST by Mr. Children to boot, really enjoy three songs of theirs. Sounds like quite a gripping tale for people that like driving comedies.

4/100 til Neko Zamurai.
