Kekkon Dekinai Otoko

Postby Heiwa Fansubs » Mon Apr 14, 2014 4:37 pm

Hi,

Actually, you're in luck with Kekkon Dekinai Otoko. It appears this series is currently being re-aired, a couple of episodes at a time. 4/18 has the first two episodes; 4/22 the next two after that. Presumably the rest of the series will air every few days after that. Airtimes run from 14:00-16:00 for both sets on Fuji TV. You could make a request to jpsubbers and see if they can capture the subs for you. In the meantime, here are the subs for the first two episodes, untimed though.

Cool.

Does jpsubbers have a forum ? All I can find is the site where the subtitles can be downloaded.

Hey could you direct me to the jpsubbers forum? Or maybe a tutorial for capturing subs (is it possible with IPTV)?

Thanks!

Unfortunately it looks like it might have error during recording.

But fortunately at least Japanese script is available here http://o.x0.com/m/51456

Ok so now, all the dramas are handled. Thanks to all of you that have applied. Right now we need some time to think about the best private way to handle the delivery, don't worry dramas captions of new episodes are still being made .

It's a WOWOW drama. WOWOW doesn't make subtitles for their shows.

Although WOWOW usually don't have TV captions during broadcast for their in-house dramas, but the original DVDs may have the subtitles at times. The Japanese subtitles are available for Tsumi to Batsu (Falsified Romance) in the DVDs.

Why is that? Are the cable tv networks not subject to accessibility requirements for the hearing impaired?

A long time ago, I once asked a Japanese aquaintance of mine this very question, and he replied, in all seriousness, "That would be a financial burden (to the corporations)." He was sympathizing with the $%#!! broadcasters.

Rant begins
You see, the hard of hearing should be content to sit and spin in Japan. To agitate for accommodations for the hearing impaired that are enshrined in law in the rest of the first world would screw up the "wa". Only an obnoxious "claimer" would go against this way of thinking.
THIS IS MY #1 PEEVE CONCERNING J-ENT.
Watch someone come and post to defend the indefensible, 'cuz "I just don't understand Japan." In this case, I am very happy to say I do NOT understand, and never will.
End of rant.

I thought about just asking WOWOW directly about Japanese captions for the hearing impaired but my composition skills are a bit limited. Would anyone like to give it a try?

jpsubbers.x10.mx is down?

Postby Tony09 » Mon Jan 26, 2015 10:25 am

At this time I noticed a very strange thing, when I go to put the site: http://jpsubbers.x10.mx/Japanese-Subtitles/ says that the website has been suspended.
Now how do fansubber translate without subtitles Japanese reference?

In this period for us fans of Japanese drama we're going all wrong.
Hopefully it will be a temporary situation.

The site seems to run out of bandwidth towards the end of the month, which is why the suspended page usually pops up.

Jpsubbers web account has been suspended !

Postby Magboro » Thu Mar 12, 2015 9:03 am

I tried to load the jpsubbers page this morning, and was redirected to the account suspended page.

Any one knows if the page was forcibly removed, or if the site owner gave up ?

this can happen if it is a free host; you need to login once a month or so to keep it going. and I guess that's what happened.
I expect it to resume once the maintainer realizes it.

Just in case the need should arise: I have a copy (last updated a few days ago)

Excellent. I have several "resync" projects going on (I have posted a few recently).

I am using those subs to re-learn japanese that I did not practice in the last 20 years ;-)

Sad to hear that. Could you keep us posted on the situation? I always use Japanese subtitles when watching drama's and I'm not a big fan of the Chinese/Japanese dual language subtitles. I hope a new host can be found soon! :-)

sorry, that's what I was afraid of, filenames on linux are UTF-8 ... and windows uses ansi-codepages, sigh

I will make a 7z archive later, maybe that solves the problem

if anyone has suggestions I would love to hear them (rar is not an option because it is not free for linux)

There are news for the reopening of the site jpsubbers ?. How will fansubber translating Japanese dramas without reference to Japanese subtitles ?. Hopefully this will solve the problem as soon as possible.

Hope jpsubbers is ok! Probably he (or may be 'she') just is having his vacation. And he isn't ill in bed.

Just to clarify, because I got quite some PMs in the last couple of days:

I only shared my personal backup of the site and unfortunately I don't know who the maintainer of jpsubbers was/is nor do I know how to contact him/her. Leaving me in the same position as all of you.

I don't have it if it's not in here: viewtopic.php?p=1720976#p1720976

If one of you is in contact with jpsubbers' maintainer:
- I would be willing to help out if at all possible
- please keep us updated

Reading some old post of this thread, I noticed that among users there is a ggenglish which is one of the directors of jpsubbers. Someone may try to contact him or try to send a PM?

Now the website shows "Domain Does Not Exist".
Is jpsubbers really down?

JP-subbers japanese sub site is down!

Postby the& » Wed Apr 08, 2015 6:02 am

The archive for japanese text subtitles http://jpsubbers.x10.mx/Japanese-Subtitles/ is down right now. It seems they have not been paying their webhost. Does anyone know how long has this been in this state? And if anyone knows the admin of this site?

I hope this is just something temporary ..
Thanks!

I've been wondering if there are Japanese captions of reairs of some dramas, specifically:
> Sky High 2
> Hiatari Ryoukou
> Mahou Sensei Negima (the JDrama version)
> Jigoku Shoujo (the JDrama version)
> Shinigami no Ballad (the JDrama version)
> Teppan (not really will work on it but I want to help the people working on it)
> Umechan Sensei (not really will work on it but I want to help the people working on it)
