Himitsu [Eng Subs] (Complete)

Postby roronoa » Sat Oct 23, 2010 1:31 am

I'll appreciate your feedbacks, for the story is more complicated.
It took me more time to review and revise while watching the episode.

Thanks tof furransu, for the ecouragement, and guidance.
I'm now in the middle in the story, and ready to translate all the episodes.

Here's Eng sub of Episode 4
We are partners in enjoying the drama.

Eng. Subs of Ep. 5, 6 and 7 are posted

皆さん
Merry Christmas!

Such a wonderful drama!

yes, there are 2 people who's subbing this dorama

hmm, maybe you two can join and make a group in subbing it?
maybe it will make things easier?
(just a thought) :)

thanks a lot. Got a confused though cuz I see 2 people subbing? Also, is this for deaf people? I see a lot of names before translation, as well as stuff like "people talking" or similar. That's cool for the deaf folks. If not for the deaf folks, it's a little annoying and takes up more reading times.

Just wanted to give some constructive criticism. Nevertheless, thank u...I definitely appreciat eit.

roronoa, you need to put all the subtitles in 1 thread only, in here http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_89584.htm :)

I sent you a PM on how to do this :) I hope it helps!

I merged those threads because:
1. It's the same person who's done the Ep 1&2 and started Ep 3
2. No separated thread for single episodes. One drama - one thread.

Please abide by the rules. Thank you.

the jap. sub is in the modern trend to be prepared for the deaf, so I kept it while translation out of respect.
however, when i watched it using nero show time program, the names were hidden, coz i put them between some brackets so they're not shown. i don't know about the other programs. so please tell me what kind of program you use, or if you all want i'll cancel the names.
any how, thanx for the comment, it's the first usseful one i receive.

I didn't know how to merge the single subs in one thread, thanks to furransu who sent me a PM inlcuding the instruction and for you for telling me.

HOW CAN I CHANGE THE SUBJECT TITLE OF THE THREAD TO INFORM ABOUT THE NEW SUB????

I'll be honest. I appreciate you subbing the drama, but mikilove13 is also subbing it as well, and she's doing a really amazing job. It's more easier to understand. Your subbing was harder to understand. I found myself thinking more about the subs and trying to figure out what's being said than the drama, and didn't enjoy the drama as much.

I think that people can understand it, but it needs to be rephrased. My advice is to drop this, and maybe get on the mikilove13 train. For future projects, I do recommend that you work with somebody to rephrase the subs. I think anybody here understand what you're saying, but it needs to be rephrased

Sorry for the negative feedback....I do not like to say anything bad, but it had to be said. Nevertheless, I am extremely grateful.

Thanks for the time you spent comparing the two subs.
however, easily understing the sub doesn't mean the included meaning in the original language has been translated as exact as possible. There're words in the japanese sub that have special meaning and SHOULDn't be dropped as such to satisfy the taste of the viewer and make him watch easily, just remember that Himitsu has a psychological aspect and you have to expect some complexity.

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your subs with everyone. I speak both English and Japanese (my 2nd language for 10 years now) and tried to sub once, but found it extremely time consuming and challenging because it's sometimes harder to put things in colloquial English as some things don't always translate easily. So I appreciate all the hard work and effort you must put into subbing. I think it's nice that two people are subbing a drama (fans are lucky if one person/group offers to sub a drama), so having two for one drama is rare like a miracle! :-) Please keep up the good work! Gambatte!

Thanks recca_cool for the time spent in reading the two subs, but as I stated 'We are partners' in enjoying the drama, and if some negative criticism is posted I accept it only if it's based on sufficient knowledge, otherwise I reply building on thorough inspection.
in other words, mind if I repeat, we're partners, and there's no reason to discourage any one, BUT I refuse to judge from personal perspective.
So recca_cool, there's no need to post any comparison, thanks again, I really appreciate the wise and scientific comment, even if it was negative :|

You may have seen the publicity photos of Shida Mirai in a wedding dress. Some of the reports going with those have said it was for the Himitsu final episode, which runs on December 10. That would make 9 episodes.

Though this drama has been subbed by two members, and it's based on a wonderful story and an important psychological principle. Besides the almost all actors and actresses performed wonderfully, but apparently it hasn't been given its due of watching....

thanks a lot for sharing the subtitles
by the way, I just wanna ask if any one knows where to get the soundtracks of this drama?
I mean the main theme and instrument songs and all, not only the song with vocal.
