Angel Bank [Eng Subs] (2 of 8) [DROPPED]

Postby vilankz » Tue Jan 19, 2010 9:51 am

Hi everyone (:
I'm posting subs for Angel Bank: Occupation Change Agent as presented by Veeai Project. :D This is my first time posting subs here, so forgive any mistakes! Enjoy!

Image

-------------------------- About

"As you are right now, you have a value of 0 yen!" - Yasuo Ebisawa

In light of this unprecedented recession, the next step is downsizing. Today, when a stable job and income is very much uncommon, finding employment as well as changing one's occupation has become a societal interest. More than 90% of housewives say that, given the chance, they would like to try working as well.

We live in times like this, which is why this drama, "Angel Bank: Occupation Change Agent" may be of use. This is based on one of the works of Norifusa Mita, who also wrote the popular comic turned drama, "Dragon Zakura". This is a drama that gives hints and power to those that are at the breaking point because of their work and life problems so that they can be successful.

This work revolves around a woman, Mamako Ino (Kyoko Hasegawa), in her 30's who is stuck in a severe employment problem. Unexpectedly, she is scouted by Yasuo Ebisawa (Katsuhisa Namase), an occupation change agent, who employs her as an agent herself. Mamako, who has worked in combination with Ryota Taguchi (Eiji Wentz) to support a client, struggles to find a job for her client who, due to various circumstances, has placed all her hopes on a new job while discovering the "skills to survive this rigid society." At the same time, she also seizes a lifestyle more like herself and grows more as a person.

This drama isn't just a hint about how one should live, rather it is one that showcases Mamako's strenuous efforts and gives one stamina known as "Angel Bank: Occupation Change Agent". It is not only for those who are thinking of changing jobs, but one for everyone who is reaching for a glorious, complete life!

original text: Asahi

Also there's the DramaWiki. Timed to files found torrented here.

The first episode is best viewed with VLC because I checked the .srt with it, but starting with the second episode I switched to a .ass format, so something like Windows Media Player Classic would work better :)

Thanks for all the support everyone! The timing's a little messy because I tried to time the first ten-ish minutes on my own and it was early morning, but hopefully as time passes I'll get better at it, haha :D;

AurionZ wrote:sorry for ask , is this subs compatible for 720p ?

No need to apologize (:
Anyways, to answer you question at first I wasn't sure so I went and downloaded the 720p version to check it, and it worked fine on my computer. Just rename the subs to match your .mp4 file and it should work fine :]

There is a bit of delay for couple of minutes after the second half, but it is not so horrible that you can't keep up :) it would be nice if someone could fix it (I wish I know how)
If someone needs the exact timing where this happpens, just drop me a PM.

Thank you for the subs.

Some info about the 720p files from Angel Bank.
The first episode of 720p is 2 seconds longer and the second episode of 720p is 18 second longer (ads from 14:14-14:32) then the 396 version. Just renaming the files will not always help.

Ah, I see. I didn't check the 720p version all the way through (only watched like, the first minute) so that's probably why I didn't notice. Thanks for the information!

To everyone else: For now I don't know how to resync them without doing it by hand, so you guys will have to wait unless someone else can do it for us (we'll be forever grateful!) Sorry!

Hello there. I understand I haven't updated in a long time, and if you're curious about it I posted a blog here about it, but please do not ask where the subs are or when they will be done (: It's just common courtesy. thank you! :D

---------

But I do apologize for the lagging on this series. Business speak is very hard for me to translate because, like I said, I'm not exactly fluent in Japanese yet :[ I'm doing my best, but sometimes life gets in the way as well. Episode 2 is somewhere like half way done, and I'll try to finish it today but I'm sick :| Thanks for being patient!

I dont know which tools you are using.

in example GnomeSubtitle (simple programm under linux) have a function to timeshift select lines. I think every subtitling programm will have such a function, to add or cut some time.

thanks for the reply (:
The problem is I don't use a subtitle program. (nub status, i know D:) I basically get the timing from either the ripped Japanese subs or if someone sends them to me I use that. I tweak the timings if they're too off for my taste (unless i'm too busy) but that's all done in notepad :\

@brisallie: don't worry too much about it (: thank you for supporting me :D

I just got aegisub (finally. i should have gotten it earlier lol) so the subs for angel bank 2 should be better timed, tho they probably won't fit with the 720p version since i'm timing to the SD episode.

Hello everyone! Long time no see.
I don't have any legit excuses really, just that school got in the way, Angel Bank is a really hard series to translate for me because my business vocabulary is crap, and once summer started my family's personal business got an audit notice ><

BUT. on a lighter note, episode two is out :D
and lately I've been getting more serious about Japanese and I think I've been getting better.
Thus, I think episodes will come out more steadily (...definitely not in 6 month gaps)

anyways, thanks for anyone who's been patient for me. I apologize for my noob-ness!

Thanks for sticking with it! :-) Do it at your own pace, though. Don't let anyone, including yourself, feel pressured about it.

Harorangers started releasing softsubs in January.
But you have to be patient. Their works take time to be finished.
