Tokyo DOGS [Japanese Subs] (Complete)

Hello,

I'm uploading the Japanese subs for Tokyo DOGS.

These subs were extracted from the original broadcast data with a program called "Caption2Ass_mod1".

Checked with the 704x396 Xvid version.

(To display Japanese subs on Windows, East Asian Language needs to have been installed, and at the options of the player, a Japanese or Unicode font needs to be selected.)

Maybe a stupid question but how do you get them to show? I only get white boxes instead of characters? I guess there's something that should be downloaded? Please help, I want to be able to watch it

If you use VLC you have to select a font that works with it. Default in VLC is Arial I think.
For MPC, it should select right away to proper font. Make sure you have East Asian Language installed.

Thanks for trying to help, I looked at it and it's already in Arial and UTF-8.... I can see the subs when i open them in notepad but VLC still only gives me squares. I've been looking for a solution in the forums but can't seem to find one

Arial doesn't support Japanese text. Change the font to something else ;) like I said, Arial is the default in VLC, but doesn't support Japanese. Go to your c:/windows/fonts folder, and use something like MS Mincho or MSGothic.
After that, you should be all done

Thanks for sharing this. I just checked it and realized that they are my very much loved and sorely missed closed captions! Yay! It'll help in my translation. But it's hardsub under Timelessub so you guys will still have to wait.
